FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

People can do what they hell they like, indeed people can criticise me for not going if they think choosing not to swan off and enjoy myself at the footie for a weekend whilst the wife tries to look after two little kids means I'm not committed to the City cause. I don't agree on that point but if that's someone's opinion then it is what it is.

What I do care about is the image of our club and its fans, the negative PR it creates, and the free hit we are giving to those who wish to perpetuate the myth of us being a plastic club, because, the reasonable hunch I have, is that there are loads of fans not going simply because they can't be arsed and because its Brighton, because you can be damn sure if it was the rags in the semi it would be sold out and supporters clubs would be getting a beating because fans are missing out on tickets - whereas I would still not be going because of my current personal circumstances.

It is precisely the reason why I've still go itchy feet wanting to get to the game..

I agree, it irks me that people actually post

'Can't be arsed " like a badge of honour.

If you are skint or have family commitments, it is totally different.

I know I’m going because after all the years of shite then every trip to Wembley is special , I know at least ten blues who are not going because they can’t be arsed which is pretty sad , but have already booked accommodation for the FA cup final and Champions league final . As I have said before I believe a fair percentage have become self entitled .

Maybe the SC's can appear on a white charger and bail us all out...
If a small proportion of the we'll never catch up, I should have tickets for big games bawl supporters club have got tickets i want a ballot crew actually bought for this game I reckon we'd have sold it out twice over.

No getting away from it, this will be embarrassing, Pompey and Sunderland sell out a Check a Trade trophy and we can't sell out a semi-final. In one sense I do get it, ticket prices are high, the time is the worst you could get, making it very difficult for fans to get home, BUT, I'm still amazed at the apathy for a Wembley trip and that the extended fan base can't pick up the slack getting the chance to go to a Wembley trip that ordinarily they might not have the points for. Slightly hypocritical in that I myself am not going, similar to SiMCFC I have two kids one just over two and the other 11 months and a wife that has given me loads of slack attending games this season, and yes, I'm hedging my bets for the Champs League and FA Cup Final & trying not to take the p*ss.

That said, its absolutely killing me that I won't be there, and given we get 55k for every home game I don't believe for a second that that there aren't plenty of fans out there who could go but simply can't be arsed.

No players more than our own deserve the backing of our fans and it will be tragic if they're only supported by 20k fans, it sends out completely the wrong message to potential players out there that we might want, debating which club to join, about our club and the passion of its fans. If there is no barrier to you attending you should be there, end of.
GTF, it’s embarrassing we’ve not sold out and you’re not going?
Nothing but trolling

Semi Final
Palace v Watford 79.110
United v Everton 86,064

Final

United v Palace 88,619

Funny that, because Everton would have been desperate for success.
Does anyone remember who didn’t sell their tickets, and the reason given?

I've just checked and neither club had been in the League Cup final the previous month, or were just 10 days from an expensive CL Home Leg.

Some fans have got short memories they should remember we never went to Wembley for how many years, years and years of rubbish football but still we supported em. Now the good days are ere and we're fed up of Wembley.
Very few have said that.
What most empathetic humans understand is the cost.
Perhaps you and Blue Mooner should donate 1000 tickets or so to those that can’t afford it rather than chastise them on here.

what gets me as well, IF AND I MEAN IF we get to the final, there will be hundreds on here who want a ticket and moan that they can not get 1, but this coming Saturday night will be watching from home pub or mates, then blame supporters club and others for not getting a ticket.

Wembley March 2018
Wembley August 2019
Wembley March 2019
Wembley April 2019
Wembley May 2019?

Plus CL QF, potentially a SF and Final too. Fair few quid a required.

Equating it to two teams who have not been to Wembley for years and unlikely to see it again is bogus.

City sold out Wembley in less than day when in third tier in 1999 and would have sold twice as many if they could.

Everton sold out their allocation. Somewhat surprisingly, United didn’t.
