Why we will win the league!

I thought until last night we would win it by 4/5 points because they would drop points to Saints and Spuds. Fair play to them that they haven't albeit they continue to be very lucky at times. It doesnt matter that we are a mile above them in terms of football, they are better than anyone else in the PL bar us so I suppose it was always going to be tight. Whatever happens we can feel proud of our team and the incredible consistent excellence they have shown over the last two seasons. We have a harder run in than them now so its going to be tough but we have the squad and coach to do it.

Agree the amount of games is the biggest problem right now, and certainly today our focus is the cup.

But their result last night doesn't change our brief. Beat palace and if they drop points against Chelsea, then we effectively only need to win four of our remaining five league games.

Could a whole lot sunnier for us in just over a week.

We have had a few decisions go for us no doubt but we have had a few go against us, tonight is a classic example at 1-1 we had a clear pen turned down. The reason we get them is down to the pressure we put the opposition under, if we are constantly pressuring the box we are going to get penalties, if we constantly put shots on target we are going to get keepers/defenders making errors. That’s football.

I accept you have been faultless this season, exceptional at times.

But it annoys me to see all this shit about Liverpool only being in there because we are lucky when we are on course to set the record for highest 2nd place finish?

As I said a team does not get 90+ points by being lucky, you all need to accept this.

This will go down as being one of the hardest fought titles in prem history, enjoy it and may the best man win.

Is ‘the title race’ thread available at all, would very much enjoy being involved if possible
We dont have to accept it as you have been extremely lucky which on most occasions has bagged you three points. You may reach 90 points plus, but you are an 80 points team this season imo

Helps when Pickford and Lloris more or less chuck the ball into the net, and Palaces 2 keepers are injured and Speroni gifts you 2 goals

Some of our players really must now turn up as required.

No 6 out of ten performances will be sufficient from the likes of Gabby, Mahrez, Gundo or Dave.

Things to take encouragement from possibly?

I saw genuine fear last night for the first time in the face of Klopp and his team with 15 minutes to go, prior to Southampton conceding ridiculously from their own corner. It will ramp up by ten if we do our job at Palace, who we could do with getting a win today at Newcastle.

Spurs have lost both games after Dortmund in Champs League, against Burnley and Southampton, so their squad is a bit light.

KDB has the angry bird in him again, we saw it the other night, his own high standards will ensure chances aplenty.

Chelsea beating West Ham this Monday night would also go a long way to priming them for the Liverpool game.

Just play one game at a time and ensure after each still be in the position of it still being in our hands will put too much pressure on the Dippers & Klipperty

We need to win 6 games last season we won 18 on the trot.
Play the way we have been doing we will do it.
Liverpool will slip up vs Chelsea and Newcastle. We won't slip up.

My only worry is with lpool getting lots of help from refs that one or more refs might screw us...thus the league than might be won by bent refs......but the press wont say anything about it .......now if it was us getting all the help ...

Folk keep saying liverpoooool will drop points here, there, everyfuckingwhere , but they ain't!
They've got the refs, most of the meeeeedia and lady luck on their side.
They aren't getting any injuries, (?????), and playing flat out in every game!
They should be burning out by now, but they're not.
All we can do is win every game and its ours. I'm happy to see 2 early goals and the rest of the game a training match.
We need to be clinical with every chance, take it. We need to smash the rags, just for the hell of it .
BBC sport news then just said "Liverpoooool, catch us if you can!"
I think it's the other way round maaaaaaaate!
