they beat Chelsea in league cup semi and bottled it
Big atmosphere next week, no Kane and we’ll be two up by half time

“I didn’t watch it today...”. Not being disrespectful but I would never comment on a players performance had I not seen the game
I’ve seen them play dozens of times before, you can’t polish a turd no matter how hard you try.

As predicted. Spuds are shit.

It was a perfect performance actually until delph did a delph.

Spuds were totally flat after a few first half flurries. Crowd quiet. Job done.

Then we beat ourselves. Argh.

Now, full house next Wednesday and smash em which will be great for the league game.

It's all coming together nicely.

Like many didn't get the selection or the holding back on the changes but get a grip for ffs it's half time. As much as Pep says he's taking it one game at a time he clearly wasn't tonight 3 points Sunday and turning this tie round next week says he called it right.

That’s really pissed me off, a horrible result without an away goal. We all thought it when we saw the team and we got exactly the performance we all feared. That is 100% on pep tonight and he got that drastically wrong.

He will never learn that. His big mistake at Bayern.

Controversial comment but with that team selection is Pep deep down prioritising the league and admitting privately that he doesn't think we can win the CL?
Personally I don't think we will win the CL whilst Pep is here but i still love him.

What was that I've just watched?

A boxer out on his feet perhaps?

Couldn't find the blow to change the tie, we were toothless subs should have come on all together (What was the reason)????

Walker is done (read peps books), max 2 seasons from a fullback.

Delph is not a fullback so can't be to harsh.

Looked like a shadow of the team that tanked top teams this season.

But.....

It's only half time.

Delph did well last year but he’s been shocking this term, Walker looks mentally tired - no concentration - to be fair he probably had 4 decisions go against him tonight from a very poor ref.

If you d

Not by chance watching the dippers were you?
Oh and if you didn't watch it don't bother slagging our players off-ok?
No, I just couldn’t find anywhere in Analya to watch the game. The three I mentioned are shit, most on here would agree so take your high horse backside elrsewhere.

City didn't look like scoring, and after the Kane injury Spurs lost alot of belief. Thats when the subs should of come, that was the perfect time. Instead pep watched like he wasn't bothered, didn't care about an away goal which I find bizzare.

The wrong personnel choice from Pep this evening, big time.
Mahrez offered nothing, absolutely nothing...again. Our midfield was pish, D Silva looks past it, Fern looks like he is close to past it as well, and as usual Delph's lack of awareness costs us a big goal. We will never win the CL starting with two clown full backs in Delph and Walker.
Raz has been off his game for weeks now unfortunately.
Gabriel Jesus does my head in, does he understand the offside rule? KDB couldn't play him in right at the end because he'd gone offside for the 4th time in 10 minutes.
We will win nothing else this season if we continue to play like this and the 87 minutes against BHA on Saturday.
Make no mistake, that game was there for the taking tonight from HT onwards as Spurs were pretty poor yet we offered the grand total of zip all 2nd half up front, just like Saturday. Those who thought Saturday was "game management" should have another think, on the basis of tonight, the more likely scenario is that it's a sign of things to come in the next few weeks.
And for God's sake, take Kun off the penalties....lucky at Wembley v Chelsea and lucky v Swansea and tonights crap effort should see him foregoing pen duties for a bit.
Not happy at all tonight, one goal from them at our place and we are in big trouble.

Presumably we were conserving energy. Again. We're just not firing and haven't been for a while. No-one can afford to miss penalties in crucial games and that's twice we've done it. Strange considering we're so good at penalty shoot-outs.

We can beat these at our place but I thinl they'll score.

Virgin Media Sport saying Delph "tackle" on Kane was intentional. Mind boggles.

Mahrez and Jesus, honestly don't think they're cutting it.
Jesus done more than Aguero did in 20 minutes...Aguero takes two or three games to get back up to the speed of the game when he's back from injury. Jesus movement was good tonight when he came on.

All about margins at this level

We still have enough quality to turn it around, provided they’re on the pitch... for me it was the first time I’ve seen Pep prioritise his squad all season.

Personally I think we’ll win and win well in the second leg, it could also be a blessing in disguise, if we were to lose one before the run in, I’d rather it was in a two legged affair..

We shouldn't have to be turning it around though mate, should we. That game was easily winnable, or a draw at the very least. As soon as Kane went off, we should have had KDB and Sane on, got Sterling on the right, Sane on the left and ripped them to pieces. It was a total an utter fuck up, which we MAY get away with, we may not. And SO fucking unnecessary.
