Crystal Palace (a) pre-match thread

I’ve been saying since last week this will be our hardest remaining league game of the season, palace have the ingredients to sucker punch us with their pace upfront on the break. I don’t think tonight has much bearing on this game, it was already a must win and I can only hope pep doesn’t fuck around again with weird formations and we get the fire in our belly to make amends for tonight and make a statement.

Fitness and injuries are going to dictate the lineup but going on the basis Bernardo won’t be ready and aguero won’t be capable of playing weekend and midweek,

The key thing is no mahrez, and not just because he’s useless but because it takes so much away from our game when we can only realistically go down one side with pace.

You know it won't change their mindset but winning at Newcastle erased any small lingering fear of relegation so I hope they partied hard this week and do so again if Cardiff lose to Burnley before we kick off.

But Dave is guaranteed to start as he is undroppable .
 
No doubt Mahrez will play in this if Bernardo isn’t fit.
Biggest waste of money, predictable and slow. He’s having a laugh at us.

You look at our brilliant squad and it hard to believe Mahrez is the most expensive signing - he presently looks like a short term loan signing.

The fuck he will,check back,check back,repeat over and over ffs try and knock a ball past a man on the outside at least try it once,I support all the players but I just feel he hasn’t fully integrated into the squad or system,I know it takes players time to adjust but it’s not as if he’s came straight from Italy or Germany to the premier league this season ffs..

The problems deeper than that - his game is to run in behind - it was perfect at Leicester when they launched it long to him and Vardy. In our team where the opposition don’t push out and park the bus he can’t get behind, he won’t go past the full-back so he cuts inside but he’s just running into to traffic. His confidence is probably shot but he’s just not the right player for us - no idea why we signed him.

Always crosses it and never beats the first man awfull signing.
