On Monday 11 May 1931 a station on the Altrincham to Piccadilly line was opened. It was called Warwick Road. The reason for the stations name was obvious. The next station along was called Old Trafford, again the name of the station was obvious, that was the name of the area served by the station. Around 2005 the two stations had to be renamed, Warwick Road became Old Trafford and Old Trafford became Trafford Bar. You may wonder why the powers that be had decided after all this time to change the names of the 2 stations, well I can tell you, it was because hordes of thick out of town plastic wankers that have probably never had a decent pint never mind a girlfriend kept getting off at the wrong stop and had to walk back to the shithole of a stadium.

surely the die hard's knew the words of the song

For some of them, the thought of us winning everything and outshining their treble doesn’t bear thinking about for them. Next week they will be 100% trying to stop us.
Disagree. The players will be busting a gut, the fans less so. Sure, in certain game situations the instinct of cheering their own team on or howling abuse at us will take over but generally I don’t expect a hugely partisan atmosphere.

Now if we were competing with Chelsea or whoever for the title the place would be a bear pit but next week it will be very muted

Ferguson thinks LIVERPOOL will win the league because United will get something from the derby.

They ain't downing tools. Far from it.

Love it.
"Not in my lifetime" .....
To hoping they get some points off little Citeh - at home, with the refs on their side and playing defensive, negative football - just to prevent their local "non-rivals" from winning another title in style, while behind 20 points behind...

A West Ham fan at work couldn’t believe the sheer incompetence of the officials at the swamp on Saturday.

I had to point out that this has been going on for years.

Watching them Vs west ham reminded me of them under Moyes - there for the taking. OGS has absolutely no idea how to manage a football team, he's overwhelmed and doesn't have the bollocks. The stuff he comes out with is so outdated ('we played the United way - getting crosses in, sometimes the headers go in sometimes they dont') he reminds me of dalglish under Liverpool a few years back. Andy Carroll is on a free in the summer he might be United's best bet.

Sit back and enjoy. They've fucked it with this one

Watching United under Solskjaer reminds me of the derby at home vs Moyes under Pellegrini. The gulf in class was huge and we absolutely played them off the park. Moyes was absolutely clueless over what to do about it and I'm expecting something similar next Wednesday.

Never forget these fcukers are the real enemy, not Liverpool.I know Liverpools wannabe scousers for a weekend fans are a pain in the arse but these twats are only in their caves cos they are shit.

Even if we dont win the league and Liverpool do I console myself in the knowledge it will be killing these bastards.

Same I think we will bum them. Only worry is rashford, maybe them giving it everything to even it up a bit and if our players are tired (but theirs should be too), but it really should be a no contest

Haha.

Like in the 6-1 they will have some huff and puff for 15 minutes, then we will take over. If we take our chances it could be a similar scoreline.

I expect huge flak for this but I hope they beat Barca and qualify for the semi for two reasons.

Firstly if they have a CL SF to look forward to they won’t regard the derby as the most important game left for them. Pogba turns it on when he feels like and if the derby was their biggest game left he’d be well up for it but with s potential SF against the dippers on the horizon he may well keep his powder dry. Ole may even rest players.

Secondly a brutal rough house semi against the rags would take more out of the dippers mentally and physically than a tie against Barca would imo and any little edge we can get in the title run in I’ll take even if it means a glory night for the rags.

I’ll get my tin hat on.

Just had a peek on redcafe..natives unhappy...partc with young as captain...

" The Pigeon that shat in his mouth has more right to the armband than him"

Ouch!
Ffs, that bird is a hero, why would they want to be so cruel to it?

And it was a seagull, not a pigeon.
