Physical tiredness isn't an excuse here, we're playing the same team and if you look at their bench last night, they played everyone available aside from their backup defenders, if they rotate it will be one or two defenders unless they play some random kids. The question is can we pick ourselves up mentally after that to get the job done. Pep needs to drill into them the fact we won that game last night and thats all we need to do again on saturday. There's nothing else to fall back on now, 5 wins and nothing less is required.

Assuming no injuries or serious fatigue for the likes of Mendy and Aguero after recent injuries

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Mendy
Fernandinho
Bernardo
Kdb
Sterling
Sane
Aguero

The problem I see, real or not, is whether we have the mental resources to go again. SPurs may have smaller playing resources but they don't have to deal with the impact of a massive defeat.

It maybe good to play again so soon. No one knows how the players will react and what the best way to deal with it is. Do we reshuffle the side? We also have to be aware that the players are running low on resources and there are big games to come.

If this was a one off game in the league, or we had won last night I'd be very confident but now we have a huge unknown thrown into the equation. I would say we need a mix of experienced players and fresh legs. And we need to use our subs very well.
If they feel as deflated as I do right now then we are fucked. It will be a huge ask to get up for Saturday but it is a game we can win and easily if we are more cohesive than last night. Too frantic at times and lacking in control. Any sort of a win and then we have a short rest before the Rags. Just two wins and nearly there.

Sane should be the key man in this game.

I would be very tempted to go with Sane, Mahrez and jesus. Front 3 need to tear into them. Stand on that touchline and repeatedly give them the ball.

We need to get this game won as soon as possible then manage the game out. I would trust in Foden too. He hasn't played many games, but I feel he has the bottle to take a game by the scruff of the neck and the energy too.

I’ve got a good feeling about this game - I actually don’t care who plays as I think all the squad are both good enough and motivated enough to come back strongly.

Don't care as long as it is another 3 points. A brutal demolition would be welcome but a win, no injuries and some energy is saved is all I hope for.

This is a game where we should be looking for vengeance.
You can be damn sure they won’t play like that on Saturday, it will be a parked bus hoping to counter.
Our defending GAVE them goals. They didn’t really create anything themselves.
The guys will be drained after last night, it’s NOW where they can turn their full focus on the PL retention.
It will make history if they can achieve it.
I really hope the team are fired up and looking to destroy them on Saturday.
There’s little excuse for the poor defending, not a good time for Laporte to have possibly his worst game for us.

Let’s smash them Blues.

I would like to rest Laporte & KDB, but I feel Laporte needs to regain confidence and KDB needs to release the anger :)

Absolutely spot on

And I am simply saying come Saturday, he may well be one of the best players avail and if he is deemed that, he will rightly play.

Fair point
But I just feel now is not the time for playing delph mahrez etc
We have no more games left to put in sub standard performances
It’s 100% all the way
I heard people say against Spurs we lost the only game we could afford to, turns out spurs did that!
If anything we could afford to rotate more for last 2/3 games, but only if we manage to get there winning

We are up against a very good opponent and then will be playing Man Utd in days. We can not just simply say to the same players go again and not have in the back of our mind the Utd game.

It's a squad game. We must use it. At the same time we must pick a side to beat Spurs

I get what you're saying but we need to make our players feel bigger not smaller

United game pointless if we don’t beat spurs
Not saying make anyone feel smaller
Just saying use a mixture of players
Fernandinho sane and stones should be fresh
Dave needs a rest
Sterling and bernado needed
Mahrez and delph affect both wings and make our game predictable
Also spurs squad is paper thin At present
I can see them resting players too

If we play Mahrez and Delph we lose this game too. Both drop our level by 30% at least. The defence can be reshuffled as frankly they couldn't play much worse back there than last night....I think...and Sane can come in, but no Mahrez please. We have six games left and after the rags I think we will get some rest then so no fucking about.

It's not an easy call. Might be easy for Pep. He might know his team now, but I don't know what is the best side. Delph has missed a lot of games but he is probably fit??? Mahrez is fresh but low on confidence. If it was a one off game it would be an easy decision but it's not it's a sandwich between CL QF and the Derby.

This is the decisive week that puts us in a position to do the Treble and make history or it is the moment when we lose the title.

I wouldn't want to play the same players again and then call on them again at Utd. That would be suicidal. Question is how many changes can we make. I think I would play Mahrez, Jesus and Sane. We have to have faith in our players and back them. It would be great if Zinchenko returned to training now but it's probably unlikely. Maybe Utd is a possibility.
