Why we will win the league!

If you can promise me that Delph will never play for us again at left back then I’ll probably feel a lot better.
There's no way Pep will take that risk now when we're five wins away from the title.

It'll either be Mendy, Laporte or Zinchenko for the rest of the season and then he'll be gone in the summer imo.

I am happiest with Zinchenko at left back, and even then his inexperience still leaves me concerned.

Delph just hasn't got going this season, his body has let him down and his limited showings,on the rare occasion he's been fit....have suffered as a result.

Mendy needs a preseason too,he isnt fully fit and he's very unreliable.

Ok, let's breathe and look forward, after that painful night. Quite difficult to accept.

Without CL semis we have a full week pre Leicester H, Brighton A and the cup final.

Next 3 matches are key.
But spurs should have more problems physically on Saturday (for rotation),
rags are away at Everton on Sunday,
and 4 days pre Burnley should be ok.

Dippers in the semis might turn out as a blessing for the title race.
Matches at Newcastle and final day vs Wolves H will prove, what they have left in their legs.

My silent hope now is,
dippers lose a lot of energy and go out vs Barca, then suffer in the league, finishing 2nd.
Spurs do lose a lot of energy and go out vs Ajax, then suffer in the league, finishing 5th.

We quietly do the treble (and be titled "quadruple bottlers" by media darlings...).

We can relax and enjoy Barca-Ajax in the final, together with Pep and Johan Cruyff in mind.

I think we will drop points in one of our next two games.

That would be the ideal scenario now

I honestly don't think they will need it - We played really well and left it all out on the field - no need to be down.

Strongest team possible (fitness permitting).........
I’m still fucking gutted over last night I’d say the players are a lot worse I just hope they are up for it i the next 5 games especially Saturday

Made me wet reading that.

I have said all season whoever of the two goes furthest in the Champions League will lose the title race. I believe that will now be proved right.

City now have 5 games to focus on, win them and its done. Had we gone through last night I think we would have slipped up somewhere, probably against Spurs or at the swamp. I think that is now less likely though you cant rule out refereeing clownery.

Liverpool have two dates with Barcelona that will give them problems. I can see them slipping up at one of Cardiff or Newcastle or even both. Cardiff have a sniff of staying up and Newcastle really wont want to lose their last home game and certainly not to Liverpool whom they are not keen on at all.

In conclusion we have probably won the title by getting knocked out last night.

I am still however royally pissed off.

The title race will be over on Sunday , Cardiff will play like wounded animals and will take points of the Dippers , the Dippers are gloating at the moment but its all going to turn to shit for them this weekend , and we again will have what they would give five Champs leagues for , a title win , 4 titles in seven years or so for us , the Dippers stretching their losing run to 30 years, european royalty but English shite.

Pep will make sure players are up for it ... 5 games that is ... forget FA cup too for now, that’s one final and not till after the end of the league season so all of a sudden focus is just down to one trophy right now ...

The biggest question I have in my mind is would the fans be up for it? I think the fixtures take care of that to an extent itself ... three are away so that’s hardcore support anyway, one of which is the derby, the two home games, one is against Leicester and that being the last home game would take care of it itself especially if we’re on top then and that second last game could be the crowning one too ... it’s this Saturday’s game that worries me how home fans would be ... we are all downbeat and heartbroken from last night and not sure how having the same opposition on Saturday would help or hinder the moods ... the early kick-off time also doesn’t help ...

But we NEED to recreate the atmosphere and get right behind the team and show them we have all the faith in them ... win this and we’ll be well up for the derby .. win both and the scousers will crumble!

I like your confidence but lets just see what happens on Saturday first.

Hmm, you better be right this time (your last call was we batter Spurs yesterday). I am COUNTING on you being right!!!

Im a very positive city fan but i just already feel this is going to be a very bad week ro be a blue. Let's hope im horribly wrong but i just feel it

Win or lose.....

Always keep the faith blue brother
Saturday can't come soon enough for me and my grandson who at age nine hasn't had much heartache.
Wigan wembley
Arsenal wembley along with palace at home this season are his only defeats.
We're the pride of Manchester
City till I die

I'm fairly sure its going to mean we have to win our last five games, that would be fourteen straight and take us to second place on the most consecutive PL wins ever. And we know who's top :)
