How is everyone feeling?

Was Pep correct when he suggested the broadcaster determines the replays shown to the var judge?

Did BT show the definitive angle again post-match? Or did they only show it after the goal? Would seem odd if they didn't show that angle again when spending 5 minutes discussing whether it hit his hand or not.

I dreamt something not nice about the kids! Can’t remember what but i know i was crying in my dream. That crash to earth after sterlings non goal messed with my head i think

That is so fuckin weird. I had a bad dream last night about my youngest kid. Scared me witless and couldnt get back to sleep. Me and my lad jumping in the air when goal went then crash landing not long after.

6pm suddenly the gloom and heavy heart lifted. Making plans for Saturday did the trick. What a time for blues when we can be disappointed in not be in with a chance of winning 5 trophies when we've already won 2! Come on your Blues and lets hope the atmosphere is as good on Saturday

The realist in me says we've had our fair share of nights like this where we've been on the winning end over the last few years, and you have to be on the losing end some times.

But it still sucks.

Can't help but feel it's a missed opportunity, as we fielded a weak team in the first leg and missed a penalty. Then made a number of errors leading directly to goals. Then got 2 VAR decisions go against us (fair enough in my opinion though). And had we won we'd have an exciting, but entirely beatable Ajax team in the semi finals where we would certainly expect to get through over 2 legs irrespective of who they've knocked out.

But we have to move on, the CL will always feel like it's the competition that just won't fall for us. Until the day it does.

Let's hope we get revenge out the way quickly this weekend.

We win on Sat (I think we will) and next Wed (good chance), I don't think many of us will care that much about this result anymore. particularly if we get a Barca-Ajax final as I am expecting.

Yes, if we win all our remaining games, and there is then an Ajax Barca final to look forward to afterwards, what a marvellous end to the season

I'm still coming to terms with the goal that knocked us out, but I'll get over it. I will never agree it should have stood but there's no reversing it now, it's done. I'm also baffled how so many blues can't see how we've got it going these days. I'd take 10 more years of Pep in a heartbeat.

I know some argue that we haven't progressed but anyone claiming we did better under Pellegrini just because we got to the semis is taking it too far.

Does anyone remember how games went in the CL under Mancini and Pellegrini? We generally play fantastic games in Europe now, some of the games are the highlight of our season in terms of the standard of football set. We also set a good example for everyone in the true spirit of the beautiful game, the Spurs first leg was the exception perhaps. However those same people slating Pep for being naive and too defensively open, were now slating him for being too cautious and not going for it.

If we win the CL I want it done Peps way, not the dogged grind Chelsea scraped, that's not the City way. We have a football identity now and I for one like it.

Worried how the team will respond. We need to win the next 5 games. Too many defensive mistakes this season.

Win the next 5 league games and things will look a whole lot different, especially if we win the FA Cup too.

Feeling tickety boo , its a competition that UEFA really do not want us involved in and the way UEFA have treated our club for the last decade only confirms how they regard our club and owners , UEFA have zero respect for our club and support , so they get zero respect in return , i am completely over last nights disappointment , its water off a ducks back .The Premier league title is and always will be numero uno , you can get lucky and win the Champs league , you cannot win a 38 game league with luck , the Dippers have had so much luck this season and that is exactly why they arent winning the title , the best football team wins league titles not the luckiest.

How am I feeling? OK, we were unlucky last night, and maybe we will never win the Champions League, but personally I would rather be a City fan right now than a fan of any other team in the World. That is how I am feeling, right now.

I would take 3 prem titles over 5 CL any time. Players managers bosses may not. Winning a cl final does not make you best in Europe

'Best in Europe? Best in the world, meu amigo!'

Devastated but saw it coming a mile off after last week. How many times have we lost on away goals? This one’s gonna hurt for a while, Spurs over two legs in a QF. Man.

The last few weeks at work for me have been horrendous and yesterday was probably the worst day of my working life. I left work with the weight of the world on my shoulders, and I arrived at the Etihad with my partner (I have said before I follow city because of her - she and her families are huge fans), not really feeling that confident and full of stress. About an hour before kick off that started to fade and turn to anticipation and excitement and then for 90 minutes we were entertained with probably the best football match I have ever witnessed... the only one I have been at in person which comes close was Blackburn v United in 2005, when Blackburn won 4-3. Every emotion was felt last night in an absolutey amazing encounter, joy, heartache, feeling sick in the pit of the stomach, pride, and disappointment. And you know what, I had 2-3 hours where I didn’t think about work or the stress that goes with it once. That is the power of football - however bad it’s going, it gives you a release, I needed last night and I am sure a lot of people are the same, it would just have been nice if we didn’t have that final sucker punch at the end. A comfortable win whilst it would have been incredible I don’t think would have Had the same effect!! The stress is straight back again today, but for just a short period of time it wasn’t there, and it was great absolutely gutted about the result, but Thanks City

I keep thinking what might have been, especially about raheems winning goal. I was in the family stand last night and didn't have a clue whether it was offside. I just watched the highlights on BT and I thought, wow, how close was that to not being off side? If was pure luck, not judgement by spurs that aguero was offside. It was not like a back four playing an offside trap for a through ball. No. In the confusion of the interception by bernardo and aguero running back then turning and running into the penalty area, spurs got lucky, right at the death. Surprised that jenas was perplexed by the decision though.

I can just about accept the var decisions, although possibly subjective, there is an argument to award or disallow both goals. So again, maybe what might have been.

Also felt sorry for all the kids that started crying when VAR ruled out the winner.....but perhaps they will learn more about being a City fan?

At full time I was gutted walking back to the car, listening to the spurs fans in the distance made me think I have seen my team (whom I travel 550 miles round trip every home game) win! Yes we won on the night, and we will do it again this Saturday! Thinking this way made me feel a whole lot better We were not beaten by a team we were beaten by a system, In Spain the rule by where if the ball touches the hand or arm its a free kick regardless if its accidental or not (it's coming next season to the prem). We weren't part of a superb match,, its just another Hamburg another Monaco, we'll become back! For sure.
