Why we will win the league!

Conspiracy theorists save your hysteria for Monday night. Dispassionate observers say it was a freekick at the end. Take heart from how unconvincing the dippers were and from the old maxim that the best team always wins the league. We’re demonstrably the best team in the league and should confidently dispatch Leicester and Brighton. Believe.

You have lost 1 league game at home all season and that was down to pure complacency imo. That definitely wont be the case on Monday so I fully expect an efficient performance and a routine win.

Some of you sound like us pessimistic Everton fans haha.

Will we choke and bottle it against Leicester?
If we do then we don't deserve to be champions.
We won't choke, 3-1 City

I think we will still do it.

But the best team does not always win the league. Footy is a low scoring game with a lot of luck. Even goal difference is a better predictor of future outcomes than points, let alone expected goals.

Strip the luck out and we are about 6 points better off than Liverpool. If Liverpool win the league they will have deserved it for the mental strength they have show, as have we. But we will still be the better team.

Here's a question....would you swap their position for ours? I like it's still in our control.

Can you imagine this though..

We lose
Liverpool draw
We win

Goal difference......

I’ll be chucking another £100 on us not to win each game. Think we’re about 1.18 for Leicester and imagine same or less for Brighton.

My other half who couldn’t be more dispassionate about football if she tried, just laughed when I showed that clip to her “he just jumped in the air and fell” were the words she used.

Nah we lost because we had to play Stones in midfield, Walker was in terrible form and Delph was just shit. Luckily this time we don't have to play Stones in midfield, Walker has recently regained last season's form and Delph has finally been fucked off. I think we'll win this comfortably.

Not sure I buy into that. Whoever wins the league has been the better team over 38 games. If it’s them then it’s gutting, but you can’t argue with the points they’ve accumulated and have to tip your hat. Obviously I still hope/expect us to do it though.

Feels like they have had every single rub of the green though ric.

FWIW. Just had a quick trawl round all the big rival forums (with the exception of RAWK, which I will not soil my mind by consulting). Now they none of them have any great love for City (why should they?) but they are all saying that the free kick given on the non-foul on Fabinho is totally bent, that the dippers are luckiest c***ts in the history of the PL, and that they absolutely dread the prospect of them winning it after all this.
On Monday evening, we have a duty to humanity, people. England expects…

Big games tomorrow for us. Brighton and / or Palace get a draw and it makes next Sunday’s game that bit easier.

What?

Brighton are safe, Cardiff are down.
My bad mate. Been out all night and didn’t realise Cardiff had played tonight. Excellent news ! Brighton players won’t be 100% at it and nor will their crowd. More home tickets will find their way into City hands as well
