I have seen enough from Jesus to think he might have more joy getting behind a tightly-packed Brighton defence than Leroy from the start, coming in from the left hand side?

He presses better than anyone else in our team and our success will come only if we don't let them breathe and they keep hammering it clear.

Got a few tricks, has our Gabs.
Wouldn't be against Jesus starting with Serg, would be amazed if Leroy starts in our last two matches even though I've included him to start on Sunday.

Win any kind of win, just win for the sake of football fans up and down the country and worldwide.

I have been holding off making the statement, as I wanted to gather evidence for it, but I am slowly developing the belief that Jesus is actually a world class centre forward / winger in the waiting, rather than an out-and-out striker. I see more similarities to Henry than I do Sergio.

It was a battling performance from Brighton, who set up rigidly to contain their omnipotent opponents. Jesus’s early goal did not see them waver from their defensive game plan. Indeed, Manchester City could hardly have been accused of missing any sitters. They were limited to few openings throughout the match.

Pep says we are going to attack and attack and attack.
Expect Game of Thrones style assault on Brighton with more twists than Line of Duty.

I think the manner of that win yesterday will really release the players from nerves. If a 30 yarder from your centre back captain and all the emotion it brought with it isn’t enough to inspire you then nothing is. We will be hungry, the tempo needs to be there from the whistle and I think it will be. They won’t be able to cope with it if we bring that. An early goal or two before half time and wolves taking the lead at anfield which filters through to the players and relaxes them even more means we get a comfortable second half and the whole country can sit back in satisfaction as Liverpool fail to cheat their way to a title.

Got to agree, plus he's fresh. Several of our players looked leggy last night (Silva, Sergio, Raz - plus Leroy was just plain dreadful) and Foden hovered around the fringes too much. Brighton are the most boring, physical, bus parkers in the league. It took us 75 minutes to break them down last season, and we only managed the 1 goal in the cup semi. A bit of Jesus' trickery and tenacity would not go amiss.
Besides the lack of effort I don't know what to make of Leroy at the moment. He seems to be cutting in from the flank at less than 90 degrees (ie heading back up field) all the time, making it almost impossible, even with his pace, to then change direction and go outside of his man. When he does try it he gets mugged, and to be honest there's not a great deal of point to him if all he's capable of is laying the ball back to Zin, Gunders or Dave.

Me and a rag colleague were discussing this at work and HE came up with various scenarios for us to win whilst heaping pain on the dippers.
The best was Dippers winning and we are drawing and then scoring an offside goal in 92nd minute.
He hates them more than ever now!!

will Sly and the rest of the media c**ts be ramping up the pressure on bin dippers like they have been over the last few games with us, knowing that they have to win now a draw wont be enough?....I wont hold my breath, so far it is ' if Liverpool go two up and city are being held' shit
