That's an incredibly strong statement by City.

No going back now. Both sides must be sure of their ground.

I hope City take FFP down with UEFA but I suspect it will be a separate battle.

This cartel has to be broken up.

I don't think City want to get rid of FFP.

It's currently preventing other premier league clubs from being taken over, i.e. by people from Saudi Arabia or China.

City took the pinch and that should have been the end of it, however Gill, Parry and others from Bayern won't let it be.

The media perception will never change .....their eyes and rival fans will never change .. borne out of jealousy and bitterness.

Best thing is not to give a damn and keep winning on and off the pitch

Everyone.

Can we start booing again next season?

never stopped.

This is an incredible response from the Club, obviously no intention to kowtow to UEFA over this, all that remains is to see UEFA's stomach for the fight.

From a practical perspective, assuming an immediate appeal once the penalty is announced, there will be no direct impact until it's been through the courts. Only time will tell if there is a negative indirect impact on potential recruitment targets, sponsorship etc in the interim

I would like something in place that makes any owners fully respect their surroundings and history before seeing a PL club as one big cash cow. Done properly, such as our lovely owner, owning a football club can be a thing of beauty. Done badly, with no respect, then it becomes a race to see who can take the most out of the club.

Investigatory chamber/committee = the group of 8. Limited punishment powers (max is €100k fine according to David Conn)

Adjudicatory chamber = committee who can decide on heavier punishments.

All that's happened here is the process - the investigators have investigated, and passed it on. A bit like police investigating and passing to the CPS for a decision on any charges or action.
Thanks for clearing that up MMA. Seriously mate.

The City statement is fascinating and highly significant. It talks of the matter being considered by "an independent judicial body" which may mean CAS. Later in the statement it does, however, refer to UEFA's "accusation of financial irregularities" rather than simply violations of FFP, which had been the assumption all along. If this means that City have been found guilty of inflating sponsorship deals and lying about the source of the finance it is hard to see what evidence UEFA have and they could be in serious hot water for questioning the integrity of the club, its accountants and any number of multi national organisations. CAS would not be competent to handle the fall out from such a storm and UEFA could find itself involved in a struggle for existence in the highest courts in Europe. And City seem very confident that they can prove that this massive assault on its integrity has been carried out by a hostile organisation, through a kangaroo "court" in the face of irrefutable evidence.

Let's go City! These bastards are blinded by their inherent snidey dealings and their rabid wish to see us punished in the hope it will level the playing field or even better make us slide away to shadows once more.

I hate everything this corrupt organisation stands for and I hope with that statement that we see them in court and expose them for the history loving, anti competitive closed shop that it is.

Once these are straightened out I fully hope we put the vile twats of the MSM in their place with injunctions and the threat of legal actions.

Racism is just a tool to be used and a mindset to be exploited to influence opinion. "Dirty Arab" is a widely accepted term once the word "money" is added to the end of it. The veil is thin.

and "oil money" used as a dirty term yet money obtained form encouraging people with no money to gamble is seen as honourable Moores bankrolling Liverpool and Everton
