They quote pretty much the whole thing. The bit that isn't quoted doesn't add anything much.
They do now, they didn't initially

Sorry, can you clarify something for me please? We are five years on from the sentencing. The alleged event of us having misled UEFA occurred more than five years ago. Surely it is therefore beyond the CFCB's own statute of limitations?
Ever hear of Lizzie Borden, it's nearly 150 years for her and her name is still famous and not cleared!
UEFA aren't even good at covering their tracks, the timeline of the announcement correlates with the NYT article, so the establishment of a leak from the process is now firmly rubber stamped.
We are going to have to be patient as a supporter base, the process will go well beyond CAS and eventually to personal lawsuits. Our good name be cleared completely.
The club could not have provided any clearer evidence of no wrongdoing. We know the fix is in, both chambers.
What I can say, this is about as personal as it gets and City will now be in good hands for the next 100 YEARS.
Wait to hear from Khaldoon next week, that's what I'll say.
When this is over, the pain will have been well worth it.
I disagree, as a Swiss-based entity UEFA are accountable under Swiss law so that would be the logical starting point for any action. Secondary to that UEFA are obliged to obey EU law as so many of their member nations are in the EU and so they could also be held accountable to the ECJ. While a UK court could pass a verdict in City's favour it wouldn't be the most direct route to take.CAS are based in Switzerland
If we went legal then being a UK company we would go to British law
Big statement back from City

Sure, that's because CAS have the reputation for being impartial on this. But CAS is not strictly a legal entity, it is an arbitration service, and doesn't make the judgements on the basis of a particular statute law. Therefore the arguments being put to CAS would likely be entirely different to the arguments and the nature of any legal action through the actual courts.
On another matter, this from Simon Stone:
"About three weeks ago, Manchester City made a very detailed submission that extended to more than 100 pages.
"It has not gone unnoticed by the club that it is five years to the day since Uefa announced City had breached FFP rules and fined them £49m, although City received £33m back three years later after they met regulations.
"According to CFCB's own regulations, they cannot bring prosecutions more than five years after the event.
In the referral it is understood the CFCB said that through their submission there are further questions to be asked of City but, since their submission, none of these questions has been put to the club."
He's suggesting there that UEFA have rushed this to meet the five year deadline rather than following the due process. Interesting - and in itself would likely get it thrown out.
Surely we sue for damages? Isn’t that how we win?So... When we win the appeals etc and we 'clear our name' that has already been muddied over the last 5 years, what do we do? Are we going to keep entering the poxy competition knowing we will just get cheated out of every game one way or another or just tell them to stick it and compensate our players for any loss of earnings etc?
Can't see how we come out of this with any positives whatsoever, the damage has been done and they and the G14 clubs know it. Fucking bastards, glad I boo'd when I actually went to the CL matches early doors.
So CAS is an arbitration tribunal based in Switzerland. But surely our real beef is with European competition law in that FFP is an anti competitive restriction, put in place to benefit the existing leading clubs? If we wished to prove that, would we not have to have it heard in a British/ European court?
The sport has its own rules and regulations these are set by the governing body and accepted by the competitors, they will also be a disciplinary procedure to follow with a "court" to trial offenders. The ultimate court of the UEFA procedure is CASBut the punishment is exclusion from a European competition. I don't know if it would have anything to do with British law. Someone will have a good understanding?

They might not have any.I'm sure it was yesterday that it was reported that UEFA had no evidence
I hope Citys' lawyers are ringing around all the Media outlets and telling them to pick their words very carefully.
