“3 weeks ago, @mancity made 100+ page submission. In their referral CFCB say more qs need to be asked of City but, since submission, none put to club. It's 5 years exactly since 1st FFP ruling. CFCB regs say no prosecutions more than 5 years after event.”

Now nobody’s saying the Etihad is the Garden of Eden. At least I don’t think they are. But it has been a good home to us. To City and me fans who I’m proud of cause every single one them reminds me a little of me. They can all think for themselves which they’ve got City to thank for.

THe FA who’s a big help. A massive help.

UEFA who’s a bit of a gob shite which is why nobody calls them with respect anymore.

The Premier League a lot like the Man U board which is handy for the others because they've disappeared into thin air and good luck to them.

And FIFA we daren’t let them grow their luck for two reasons. One it makes it stands on ends and looks like bullshit and two the nits love it.

Pep sent by God. Total angel. You have to check your change but he’ll go miles out of his way to do you a favor.

Plus our Liam. Little rock and roller. Going to be a star. Once we’ve got the fits under control.

Noel. Liam's brother. The truth is out there. Don't believe the truth.

Three things, see, are vital to a half decent football club. You need wide open spaces where everyone goes mental. And neighbourliness. Fanatastic neighbours. Liverpool and Man U will do anything, well not anything. But all of them to a man who knows first and foremost one of the most vital necessities in life is they know how to throw a party. Or throw a wobbler.

Ran out of steam and interest playing with that. Much like this UEFA crap on the football news.

But perhaps that is the UEFA plan. Have it thrown out on a technicality and let the mud stick while showing their sponsors that they really did try.
It's an interesting point. UEFA must be looking for a way out and so must City. Both parties can't want a long drawn-out legal battle. No matter what the outcome City will be smeared in the media. I have always thought the last thing UEFA wanted was the Der Spiegel leaks.
They know they can't win but they are under huge pressure from the Cartel clubs. When you take a step back UEFA will be spending millions in the courts fighting a case which goes back to the period from 2012 to 2013 involving FFP rules which have since been changed precisely because they were legally untenable. It is absurd.

As a cleverer person than me once said........" Sometimes you need to take the pinch."

Never lose sight of the long term goal

If WE change nothing why will anything change?

The players and club have zero doubt which side we are on.......
Still a stupid idea,we support the team at ALL times and let the club take care of the rest

Which is just one of the reasons why City wouldn't be this bullish about things if it relied on the evidence condemning them being inadmissable.

This is about the Etihad sponsorship and the email saying Etihad only paid £6m of the £60m.

IMO City's incontrovertible proof will be something like a cash transaction from Etihad to City for the full amount. That would prove the money - an amount allowed by UEFA in a sponsorship they've investigated and accepted - came from Etihad and after that where Etihad get their money is none of UEFA's fucking business.

It wont be a complicated legal argument that's open to interpretation because otherwise City wouldn't talk about it being open and shut.
I’m 100% in agreement with you. We need to stop worrying about how the ‘evidence’ was obtained. It’s a non starter.

Probably issues we’ve raised about UEFA using evidence obtained illegally

I suspect there’s more - conflicts of interest - we will deffo be going for Parry and Gill et al - the fact that we are under more scrutiny than others.... and we have probably found other stuff in the leaked e-mails that incriminate other clubs that UEFA can’t be arsed to investigate. This is going to get very nasty and my hunch is uefa have more than a few skeletons in its closet.

Looks like we have been backed into a corner and will have no choice but to try and clear our name

We’re not going to come through this process without some shit sticking to us.

The likelihood is that we haven’t divulged the whole story when agreeing our settlement back in 2014 , I’m sure legally we are covered which will be our standpoint

Ethically we probably have a case to answer

It also sound like UEFA have bungled the investigation

I would predict a ban which will be overturned on appeal

This will be followed by some people having to resign or risk being litigated by our expensive legal team

This was also under review by the Premier League.

I’d imagine they’ll be more cautious about challenging us as it’s closer to home and impacts their competition to a greater degree if they were to impose a sanction.

However, everyone must know that if we’re banned from Europe then there’s a strong chance we will absolutely dominate the league.

If the Premier League have any sense they'll wait to see what happens with UEFA first.

Reserve the right to say "fuck that, no thanks!" If City end up blocking this and counter attacking with the ferocity Tolmie has alluded to and the Press release indicates.

He should be more worried about being called as a witness and being made to tell a court who his "source" for persons close to the investigation were!

Can he avoid that question in court?

Probably. Press freedom is protected by the right to freedom of expression and protection of confidential sources is a key aspect of press freedom. There are some exceptions but I don't think this is one of them.

Anyway, the delicious thing is that it's for UEFA to tell us who and why. I suspect those are a couple of the "unresolved" matters referred to.

If so UEFA will back of after legal advice.

So this looks like UEFA have already backed down on us breaking FFP rules and are instead trying to ban us under the pretence that City mislead them. How can you have one without another?
What this means is UEFA are saying OK you passed but you passed in a different way than we thought so we are banning you.

That absolutely will not fly. UEFA think they are above the law if that's the game.

Arrogant and stupid. Why not just say you found nothing? The pressure UEFA is under now from the cartel will seem as nothing compared to what's coming from City's side.

How utterly naive.

For all we know this could be the first step in a UEFA clime down. UEFA will know they are fucked but they’ll wriggle for a while but their lawyers will know the leak to the NYT has finished any semblance of a case they may have tried to concoct. We have gone for the jugular again today - it’s the lack of process that will see us see this off.

It's a thought, yes.
The only thing that has happened today is from expecting the IC to pass it to the AC, we now know that the IC has passed it to the AC.
And I agree, UEFA must fear that they are in a no-win situation.
