He said he wants more responsabilities at PSG preferably or somewhere else.
Until now, he is the third guy in the attacking trio. Third in penalty taking opportunity (Neymar then Cavani then Mbappé). Third in salary. The guy clearly wants to be THE leader or atleast at Neymar level. That means he wants to be first in salary (or equal to Neymar), first in power within the club, etc.
He could want to leave and i guess that idea wouldn't displease him if it was for Real Madrid. But he is fine at PSG as long as they show they can cope with his demands and ambitions.
He also knows he has 3 more years contract remaining, so he can't say "i'm leaving guys !" but is ready if needed. PSG has the biggest and last say in this case but he made a big power move.

Very disrespectful for the club to use that moment to do his selfish act. Consistent with the man and player he has always shown. Very ambitious and self-centered and obsessive with success. No time to lose.

Now, he has just lost all the leniency people was giving him for being young. He talked as if he is already there. Time to back it up.

As you say a very odd move to say what he said at this ceremony. It shows a real level of arrogance and a me me attitude. I suspect it won’t have gone down well with the club and they will know that Real Madrid maybe even Zidane himself have been in Mbappe’s ear. PSG will ride this out - he’s under contract and he’ll need to behave far worse than this if he wants out.

If there's a single silver lining to losing Vinnie (and let's be clear, there isn't) it's that we now have an opening for an absolutely class centre back who hopefully has what it takes to mostly fill the void left.

If we end up with Maguire I will be even less excited than when we were looking at Jonny Evans as a squad option.

Bale has made it clear he won’t be forced out. No prospect of any other team paying him any where near £600k a week so he’ll enjoy the sun sand and golf for another 3 years. Real make their own problems. Like United Real want to buy lots of new shiny toys but shifting the overpaid cast offs can be very difficult.
