Why are they making themselves dicks? Maybe they just don't want to sell him. If this is true and they are genuinely happy to turn £80m down for him then that's up to them. Leicester are an extremely rich club. They don't have to let their best players go for anything less than stupid money.

Because if Maguire wanted to go (which he might if we or another one of the big boys were sniffing), but their asking price was prohibitive, they’d have a very unhappy player on their hands, which could lead to him downing tools and a knock on impact on squad harmony.

You don’t keep an unhappy player by pricing him out of a move.

I’m not sure Leicester are ‘extremely rich’ tbh. They aren’t in the Top 20 richest in Europe for example.

Don’t get me wrong I fucking loved the Dunney monster when he was here but he wouldn’t get near this team, Maguire is very similar in every respect as far as I see. Yes he’s a good player but he’s not got anything like the subtlety or intelligence to play in Pep’s system. The lack of quality English centre backs and centre backs in general means he’s considered because we need competition in the squad if Otamendi goes as well.

I like Maguire but not sure how a compromise can be reached here. His value is half of what Leicester are asking. If they were asking for £70m we could probably get it down to something reasonable but 90 is basically saying fuck off we don't want to sell.

I happen to know a lot of Hull City fans. They rated Meyler and Elmohamody but not Maguire or Robertson. In fact, both Maguire and Robertson were regularly left on the bench. Moral of the story, Hull City fans are thick as fuck.

Working on the basis that we are interested in him, do you seriously think the club would look at someone so inappropriate for Pep and pay a high fee for it? Really???????
