It's a bit early to be worrying about their league form and what might affect it. Get our transfer business right, keep KDB fit and ease Foden in and no one else's league form is going to matter much.

Pressure is on Liverpool now to follow this with the league. I don't think they will do it.

Just like the rags Klopp will use it as an excuse not to participate in the FA Cup. At least it'll save him the bother of binning it off at the first hurdle.

Didn't want them to win, it was an awful game and they will be insufferable. Deep down it's not the one they wanted and I really do think that team is at the peak of its' powers. I wouldn't be surprised if sooner or later Barca & Real come sniffing round their stars, and despite what they believe they have half the appeal to players that those two have. That said, they are a proper good team, and for a team or individual to be great in his field he / they need rivals. Liverpool will ultimately push City further onto greatness.
