Agreed, I think Sane would be even better in a counter-attacking team. He's still got great close control, dribbling etc, but he'd go up another level if he wasn't playing against packed defences.
 
A ridiculous talent that really would make a statement. Fits the profile in terms of young talent that Khaldoon mentioned...but Sane and Mahrez would have even more work to do to get into our side. Would possibly enable more rest for Aguero with a more fluid and interchangeable front 3. Love the prospect of him, Bernardo and Jesus throwing some Portuguese/Brazilian skills together.
 
No idea where we stand on this one. We are clearly interested. But are we going to make a move before Jesus/Sane leave? Or is our interest dependent on one of them leaving?

Because it doesn't sound like we want Jesus or Sane to leave.

Think Sane is the only one that might leave, if he stays though I wouldn't be surprised if we still tried for Felix but left him on loan at Benfica for a year.

Is that where he would play? Seems some think he'll play as a no. 8, but can play anywhere in the attack.

Pretty much Silva and Gundogan will probably go next summer and Aguero will be going into his last year, perfect time for Felix. Its why I can see us buying him now if we can and leaving him at Benfica a year. That would only change as far as I can see if Sane goes now.

Don't be to sure about that, Danilo, Delph, Mangala & Otamendi I would say will be gone.

If we spend big on Felix not a chance he stays on loan this kid is ready & will be a class act.
With or without Leroy we sign him if he wants City?

Doesn't make much sense to me, buying a player for 100 million pounds, then letting him play for another team.

Even if those 4 go I think we would only replace 2 and as none of them would be replaced by Felix it makes no difference to freeing up space for Felix to come in now, only Sane going would make space for him to get into the squad now.

Well the fees just the fee it is, buying a player and leaving him where he is we have done before. Especially if it helps their development by playing more.

It would be a 100 million.pound player of ours playing for another club, where he could get a long term injury, stifle his development etc.
I know fans don't give a monkey's about the 100 million but the club do.. imo -;)

Tbh, I don't see a chance in hell we'll sign him at the rumoured price & if he really is worth it, (although nobody is, certainly not a kid) then the same clubs who usually overpay, will be the ones after him.

But we'll see.

Not sure on Felix best position, he can easily play in the middle aswell as out wide.

If we sign Felix I believe it's more to do with not missing out on this kid & playing him will be Peps problem but get this kid whatever the price & problem.

Danilo owes City nothing & goes with Peps blessing he has already said he knows players want to play he said the same thing 12 months back about Bernardo but he was patient & the rest is history.

I can understand Nico as 32 games last year to 15 starts this season & 31 I think he is he feels even with Vinny gone Stones & new CB would make it difficult.

Pep also has maybe 40m + on these 2 so goes a long way on new player.

Delph prob goes anyway never fit long enough & Championship clubs would go for him & maybe get 10m at a push.

Mangala situation is a weired 1 after giving him a new contract I see this as a make weight in either Felix or Fernandes deal if either happen.

We have Bravo & younger deals Inc Garcia, Luiz, Barker & Namecha to sort.

Gundagun will go for free next year I'm sure, it's worth loosing 18-20m if he ain't going to sign, he is a great player when fit, disappointed as been very important in those 14 undefeated.

Window is open I would expect players to start moving in the next 2-3 weeks.

If City have done things early & going off signals, posts & listening to people ITK like our chairman :) I would say 2 maybe 3 are well on there way.

HM Rodrigo, RB Cancelo with Felix the more complexed transfer & Fernandes as alternative.

CB & LB will go through June & July b 4 we see pen to paper.

Remember Bernardo came out of the blue can City do this again Maddison now PUMA sponsor???

All it's & buts but it's what the transfer threads are all about.

1 thing is for sure nothing is getting out of City regarding names all guess work & hopefully we see 2 fingers shown to the likes of Bayern, Barca & our own English FA..

i've said it before,i'll say it again.....IMO,...IF we buy him,he is a David Silva replacement....again..IMO.

He could fill in anywhere from atacking midfield to a forward.
