Doubt anyone, but I don't think that's the point - we've lined up a long term replacement for him who's only 22 years old, coming from one of the biggest clubs in Europe, and playing for the Spanish NT.

We'll need another player once Fern actually leaves too, so gives us a chance to sign a different type of player if needed whilst Rodri beds in.

Some thought we would never replace Yaya but we played our very best football without him.

It may well not be a case of Rodri exactly replacing Ferna and we play exactly the same. Pep may well make tweaks.

I think it is, he can buy out his contract at any time, he just can’t register for a new club until July 1st.

I know that we could agree a fee with the selling club outside of the transfer window, but I'd be surprised if the player could trigger his buy-out clause outside of the window. It would seem to break the purpose of introducing the transfer window in the first place. I can't recall it ever happening before.

Ilkay will be 29 in October. We have to look to the future.

Don’t get me wrong; I love Gundog. He is one of the best passers in the country, but he can’t go on for ever.

No, Fernandinho is the god of that position as an all rounder. There’s players who will be better at individual things but no one will be able to do what Fernandinho does, absolutely impossible. If someone could they’d be worth £300m and some. Just gutted he’s getting old.
