I remember when Leicester first valued Mahrez at €90-95m but final deal was €60m. Depends really, negotiations can always take place if we decide to include players going their way or else. But yeah, needs them to be willing to sit on table for it. Seems as of now they think it's enough to put a high price tag and keep us / United away.

If he comes then good as it strenghens our squad, may not be baresi or Vinny, but can handle the prem, has a decent passing range which pep will improve and bag a few goals.

Was just about to say something similar. If you look at the transfer fee alone, it looks like a no brainer to go for De Ligt ahead of Maguire. However, Maguire would probably be on about £150k a week, whereas Juve are rumoured to be offering circa £300k a week. Over a five year deal that’s an additional £40m in wages. Then you’d have the knock on effect of our other top players wanting parity. We’ve seen with United and Sanchez how destabilising that can be. Then there’s the homegrown aspect too. Obviously I’d prefer De Ligt over Maguire, but can see why the club might favour the latter.

I cant believe anyone actually thinks Maguire will only earn 150k/week here? Hes on over 100 at Leicester and is about to become the worlds most expensive CB.

He will be on 200++ just like Mahrez, who was the same age and also a record signing.

One clip when he just races past Yaya, not hard. But Maguire is a good PL player and will not let us down in the PL if we sign him. My concern would be in the CL, however on saying that even Laporte and Stones have struggled in the CL eg against Lyon and Laporte against Spurs.

to be fair Laportedidnt struggle against spurs..he just made two horrendous fuck ups in the same match.....just a bad day rather than him struggling which would suggest he would struggle again -which I don't think he would
