I take your point, but this is as good as gets in terms of regenerating a team. Older crop going out on their own terms with the next generation already bedded in. We are one of the best run clubs on the planet, probably the best if I'm honest.

However, the embers of the first tangible cycle are now flickering.

I would rather see something which acknowledged the true greatness of the collective?

This. Lets be honest, Davids star is waining just as bernardos is going into orbit. Boodiful. Spanish Dave has passed the batten over on his terms and will leave god like.

Very difficult to sum up the influence he has had on our play. The vision, the skills, the tackling, the humility and professionalism. If I was to clone a footballer it would be him. An absolute pleasure to have seen him for 10 years and I hope @Bluwhit shows him this thread as there are thousands of others with the utmost respect and love for the guy. That last game is going to be emotional. Legends are thrown around too often but in this case, he’s hands down one of the best players to have ever played for us.
