There's a northern beer and street food festival on at a place on temperance street just off Piccadilly, if you're into your real ale. On till Sunday.
The underground Manchester tours are excellent, not sure who is still offering them though.
Or you could just take her to some tea room like sugar junction or the propertea place near the cathedral as you sip Darjeeling with beetroot chocolate cake. Women seem to like that stuff, though not sure whether it is the tea or the look of enduring misery on their blokes' faces that does it!
