Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

As with all the squad players Pep and the coaching staff provide Leroy with personal performance targets that are required for our playing style and team selection. Leroy could not be in a better place to improve himself as a player and any wise counsel would advise him to value it and stay. We have a precious squad harmony and if players are not happy to contribute to this then they must consider their options and choices, if any.

As for the tug of love between wife/partner and Mother that aligns itself with Brexit for shit storm.

Parting message to Leroy "Smile like you mean it" (Killers)

I think he's leaving. He's just scared to admit it in public, because there still is the risk that Bayern won't bid what we want for him. He would be fucked if everybody would know he wanted to leave, but has to stay because of a poor offer.

For me the German rags are rapidly approaching the same detestable level as their English counterparts and the scousers.

I would add an extra 5 million to the price every time a German rag player or official mentions his name in public.

He's 23, a Father and he's worried what his Mam will say ??
Sorry, can't believe a grown man would put up with that

£200m? Seriously?

Nah, surely not.
It would mean: "fuck off" (and that's what 95% on here wish to hear), "we prefer to keep him, happy or not".

But that's ignoring Pep again and again, who said player who want to leave have to leave.
He wants commitment and desire.

When Leroy or any other player wants to leave the door will be open.
That indeed is a problem to negotiate a maximum transfer fee
but Pep's and the club's philosophy is the fundament of our success
and no way Pep will change what he strongly believes in, never.

Allegedly what soured his relationship with the club was fans posting on here that the boy needed a haircut. Presumably the club backed the fans (which is nice I guess but typical city - twas probably those deckers in the web team) but now look where we are. I’m guessing the mum and girlfriend have strong opinions on his next style too. What a mess. Only baldies in future City, for the love of God.

Because no player has previously said they wanted to leave (including transfer requests) only to end up staying at the club a season more or even at times signing a new contract? He could easily say he wants to go back to Germany, if it doesnt happen, he says he is fully focused on the season ahead. The standard stock line. IF he did really want to go.

Wouldn’t it be absolutely bizarre In this day and age if a footballer said he’d be here next season in an interview and it turned out to be completely true

That wont solve anything unless he signs a new contract! It will start again in January and then next summer.

yeah and that is cheap for him if others are going for £140million like that young lad João Félix to atletico-madrid
Felix was a release clause not a value, think it was only £113 mill, so can't be compared. If I had to put a fair price on Sane I'd say we'd take £120 mill for him , if he wasn't going to be extending.

what his value to the club long term losing him ?? the £200million is cheap as chip in todays market, the lad is a special player and a super star in the making just needs to settle down and play because he is fast and scores

£120million for a season pro ???? and proven talent guarantee he would rip the germany league to bits and score 30 goals a season easy

Bayern Munich do not have the money to sign Sane at Today’s transfer rates.

And if they have, they will not pay anywhere near what Sane is worth.

Bayern, the dirty German Rags, have done there best to unsettle Sane, promise him the Earth, hoping he will cause trouble at City, and then they will put in a disgusting offer for Sane, hoping City will buckle and let him move.

Bayern’s biggest transfer up to date was for Lucas Hernandez, who cost them 80mill Euros. Or £75mill pound.

So how much do you think Bayern will offer for Sane, if 80mill Euros for Lucas Hernandez is their record transfer buy?

Optimum time for who ?. Bayer will make a bid at some stage, and for them the later the better. If he wants to go, his agent will indicate so at the time of the bid, and City will have a decision to make. Keep a player who wants to go, and may not even get into our team, or let him go, and show that the stated policy of only wanting players who want to be here here is a fact.

I hope he stays, finds a smiley, happy face, works hard and becomes a WIorld class player, We would not miss him, as he is now, but the potential he could develop into.
If Pep is accurate, then Sane will be a City player this season. I don't think a player decides he wants to go to Bayern, and then spends his pre-season with City.

That assumes Pep is being truthful, and Leroy is behaving rationally. As usual fans in the transfer window are left guessing and just going off the smallest bits of information / misinformation.
