I cant see how the people who are posting that he's leaving following these comments coming out of Bayern can draw that very conclusion. I see it as they have been told to shut the fu*k up.
 
Pesky Germans.Would Boateng be the last player to leave that we might have kept.Always got the feeling that he used us to get to Munich.As Dortmund would not sell him to Bayern in the first place.

I thought kovac was only hanging on to his job by the skin of his teeth, is all this just him playing to the fans against the munich mafia to get him some Young top class players.??

It probably comes from current negotiations. At least that's what it sounds like.
 
For what it's worth Duncan Castles' latest take on the situation was

Bayern want him and hope he'll be their poster boy and will build team around him.

They have allocated €80m for the Transfer Fee.

City can't fit him into the team as a regular starter as Sterling/Bernardo are more consistent and we have Mahrez/Foden/Gabriel waiting to get extra gametime this season.

City very aware that they will probably get a smaller fee/no fee if they hold onto him unless another bidder enters the race.

City have received a bid from Bayern but was about 20m short of agreeable figure.

Sane not sure whether to stay or go.
Likes the club/fans/location but money and fame will be greater in Munich.


That's where Castles thinks the situation is at the moment.
If he's near the mark then (IMO)
In order to break the stalemate either Bayern stumps up the extra cash and City will help them to persuade Leroy that he's better off moving
or
Leroy may decide to give it a good go at City, sign the contract or renegotiate an improved version of it
or
It gets put on the back burner for a few months and the whole thing resumes with new rules.

A chess game if ever there was one with any conclusion possible.
