I think we have negotiated an agreement, but I am not sure we will push the go button on the transfer whilst we have Danilo. It doesn't make much sense, unless we are prepared to let Danilo go on very favourable terms.

That attitude only makes sense whilst his wagon was hitched to Mourinho. It's not in DC's interest's to be Mourinho's mouthpiece any more although his past may have coloured his opinion. People normally end up doing what is best for them, at least they do whilst they behave rationally.

He is what I would describe as a confirmed enemy of the club.

He posted the Good Vibes Only caption on his Instagram story, not on his actual Instagram post. If you've got an Instagram account you can click on the icon next to his username and see it.
Ahh I see. Thanks for the update. I do know he posted the same thing last year as its still on his account.

If Leroy plays on Sunday he is staying.

If City and Bayern really are in negotiations, City won't risk Leroy in case he get's injured.
Or on the bench. If he's involved, it's a good indication his head is focused on City.

We should have a good idea after this game whether he's staying. Either it will be obvious by his demeanour, or one of the two clubs will make it obvious, either in an announcement, or Bayern will move on a different target.

We should keep them interested until their window shuts.

Just tell Leroy he's staying put & then take the fucking piss out of them.

Why not ? We've just had a fair increase in sponsorship & a transfer would normally be spread over several years rather than written down as one lump (even though that would be apt in Maguire's case).

If look at our big spend under pep it was when we released or sold quite a few players if we had of sold danilo or ottemendi we probably would of bought someone think its more to do with squad amounts and still balancing the books.

It's the Bundesliga. Ribery and Robben were leading players there when they were well past it. Sancho rips up trees in that league. Sane woud find it very easy, but ultimately he'll be a better player if he stays at City. If he wants to be the star, go to Bayern. If he wants to improve as a footballer, stay at City. It's a good choice to have.

I don't doubt he will find it easy in the Bundesliga but Bayern fans have a different metric in determining how successful their season has been. I doubt winning the Bundesliga will satisfy their fans and make him a star. It certainly is Bayern's hope that he will become their new poster boy but if his performances do not become more consistent in the CL and for the national team he will become a scapegoat.

Any transfers are spread over the length of the contract so an £80m player on 4 year deal will cost £20m per season.
That's only for incoming players. Outgoing players depends on what the clubs concerned decide. If Sane decides to go City will want at least £80m up front.

Milner played for Villa three days before he signed for us.

Villa would have wanted to win far more than we do when you consider their record prior to and since that game. I don't think playing someone moving elsewhere would go down well with our squad or supporters.

Bayern might want him to play so that if he does sign he’s ready to play.

Pep might also play him if he thinks the alternatives are not ready

Tomorrows press conference will be interesting. Wonder whether Pep will stick to the we want Leroy to stay and sign a new contract message
He can’t really say anything else. All the speculation about whether Leroy stays or goes is a fairly pointless because it all comes down to how much Pep wants to keep him. And he’s not going to tell us.
