Yes.

Keep Sané play Foden, if Sané causes trouble (which he won't).

Prove that nobody can fuck with City, ever.
You mean like PSG and Neymar. The player is down to his last 2 years of his contract. He holds the cards. A good poker player knows when not to over play his hand. You're bluffing.

I agree except that I don’t think we should ever sell to them. I think they’ve created a situation where they are the only bidder. Everyone would want Sane it should be a huge auction.

Leroy Sané is so good, that even with a year to run on his contract, he will be worth plenty of money, because by winning the bidding, a club guarantees getting the player.

Why is it only Bayern in for him
Because he's more valuable to Bayern than he would be to a Barcelona or a PSG etc. There's only a few clubs on City's level, therefore only a few clubs would have any chance of signing him. Barca and RM, PSG would not bother as he is not good enough yet for them, but for Bayern there's the poster boy image, and anyone half decent cn star in the Bundeliga

So you think it's a well run club, who would allow a hated shit stirring rival, to cause trouble all summer then step in & take a player half way through his City contract, a player who was key to them winning the treble, at the end of the transfer window, so they could 'keep the money in the bank' ?

That's how to do transfer windows ?

Would Bayern do us the same favour you think ?
I’m not defending Munich, far from it, but simple fact is keeping a player who wants to go will adversely affect the team. Pep even said as much so if City let him go and don’t feel they need a replacement, then I’m fine with that.

This does remind me of our interest and eventual signing of Kevin, or am I wrong.

What do you think Bayern have bid for Sane now? I reckon Duncan Castles wont be too far off. City would get a fee, but it wouldn't be anywhere near what we would get if he was under long term contract, indeed no one would even try.

The other clubs have tried to take players from City & got nowhere.

We don't sell on other clubs' terms.

He is under long term contract.

I doubt they have bid at all.

Really

We've got KDB back (which is massive) to take Bernardo's CAM position. Bernardo & Sterling are first choice, with Mahrez, Jesus & Kev all capable of playing on the wing. Plus, Mendy & Angelino will be playing much more advanced positions than Zinchenko & Delph did at LB.

Huge shame as I think he has the highest ceiling of all our players, but it's his loss and we'll be fine.

Completely agree

Really. He doesn't start for City does he, so he wouldn't start for Barcelona. Although tbh there are many players better than Luis Suarez now, but their perception of their front 3 is that they are all world class players.

Sane is still about future potential. If most blues selected their first XI, he wouldn't be in it, but he's obviously a very very promising player who could be the best but he wont get there by going to Bayern Munich.

I agree with you. If Bayern have bid, and he says he wants to go, I would sell him. It would then be in our interests to sell him. He's not at STerling, or Bernardo's level yet, but potetially he could be. If he is unhappy, then there's no point holding on to a player who is not going toimprove to the level required and who will leave for next to nothing soon enough. But I don't think it will happen. I think he will stay. If he wanted to go to Bayern, I think it would have all come out a month ago.
I agree

Bayern have created this situation of a Dutch auction.

Just out of interest how much would you accept? Most independent valuation have him at around £120 million.

If Bayern offered 50 million what happens to your not keeping an unhappy player theory? There must be a line and in this case imho it’s not selling to Bayern. It sets a precedent other clubs will try.

No way. That’s pandering to bad behaviour. It’s like saying stop kicking me up the arse and you can have my car. They shouldn’t be kicking us in the first place! We should be kicking their arses till they stop. We’re not another German club they can bully....or are we?
I wasn't advocating it.

I was merely speculating whether those sorts of conversations might have taken place? If they haven't, why on earth would we sell to Bayern of all clubs? Honestly I'd rather sell to Liverpool and that's saying something. If I was running City I wouldn't sell Sane to Bayern for £200m, let alone the sums being talked about.
