I'm not too fussed either way on this tbh. It would be a big loss don't get me wrong, but I really doubt the club will take less than daft money for him, and I really don't see him developing into a world beater under Kovac and in that current Bayern team. We'll lose his potential, but don't see it hurting us massively - it's his choice if he thinks he'll go on to bigger and better things away from City. My opinion is he won't. Given this has been paper talk for a while, I'd be surprised if we haven't done a load of scenario planning to deal with things however they fall. Would love him to stay, but we'll be just fine without.

The chances of him moving now look remote, and if I were Bayern I would be turning my attention very rapidly elsewhere.

We have no idea either way what he’s thinking. Every player is different. A player being professional enough to do whats asked of him doesn't mean he’s unhappy with us but also doesn't mean he wouldn’t prefer to be at Bayern we don’t know..
I’ll just wait and see what happens but trying to read something into everything that happens is pointless unless we know him and his personality. Pep is best placed I agree, and Pep and the staffs opinion will decide what happens IF the right offer comes in until it does there’s no decision to make and he stays in the squad and does his job. My point though was if we don’t want to sell him then put an unrealistic price on him or say we won’t listen to any offer, not put one out that might be reached like £130 mill.
