i thought Sane starting yesterday that was it and he was staying, the fact he didn't last 5 minutes and was took off as a precaution has left me none the wiser.
I didn’t think Leroy starting was particularly significant. City weren’t going to announce the imminent departure of a member of the first team squad by way of a teamsheet

It's all got rather amusing really. Leroy is contracted to us for another 2 years and we have been repeatedly assured by the manager, reported by every non-Bayern media outlet, that he has not asked to leave and must do so if he wants to go. After months of frenzied speculation about 'an imminent departure' he completes the pre-season tour and returns to play in the opening match of the season. The transfer window closes in 4 days and with it the possibility of signing a replacement. Yet we are still unconvinced that any of this is significant.

Just saw this in the Independent...

"He (Sane) is hugely tempted by the move, and wants it, but wouldn’t be completely against staying at City. He and his representatives - who are from DAVID BECKHAM’s new company, Sane having been one of their first signings - would be open to negotiating a new contract at the Etihad, but the preference is to go. Those close to the situation currently feel it is likelier that he goes than stays."

So the Spice Boy Beckham's company are behind Sane???? The same Beckham who only a few years ago said there was only one club (ManUre) in Manchester, & he'd advise any potential signings to consider Old Toilet first? The plot thickens!
The fact he is with Beckham is enough to get rid of him. As far as I know the club is still not deaing with people like Raiola. We are now a club that does not have to waste energy doing business with toxic people like this. We need players who want to play for us. Look at the mess the Rags have got into indulging people

Liverpool were worried about his pace yesterday and did not push forward as much. As soon as he had gone off we missed that blistering pace and they pushed forward more. Really hope stays as we will miss him this season.

I see the papers are reporting he's joined Team Beckhams sports/celebrity agency.

That'll explain the constant news stories.

Leroy didn’t look to unhappy when he Collected his CS winners medal.

Who or what was this in reply to, do we know? Post match presser?
It's OK @karen7 you can stop searching now I've found it :)

Here's the club's most enthustiastic media devotee - Miguel Delaney, a creature whose every waking moment is dedicated to the destruction of Abu Dhabi and Man City in that order

"In a generally relaxed press conference, it was one moment when Pep Guardiola got visibly annoyed. That, of course, was from a question about Leroy Sane. Guardiola had been asked whether he’d had an argument with the forward after Manchester Citys Community Shield, as they were seen animatedly talking.

“I was concerned about his injury,” the Catalan snapped back, shaking his head and muttering.

Guardiola reckons that Sane will be “OK” after having gone off in the 10th minute of the eventual shoot-out victory over Liverpool, but is just another element that serves to further complicate what is already a complex situation, that Guardiola’s very reaction hinted at..."

Such bollocks isn't it, Pep was clearly fucked off with what he felt was hard tackles from the Scousers from the get-go. The discussion was clearly more around asking how he was, it was hardly animated and he had his arm around him at the time. Journalists think they are the beaming light of goodness in society, they are doing the public's will in giving us information when all they are actually doing is either writing to suit whoever paid them the most or, trying to get a story out of something that isn't there. As much as i can't stand the yellow toothed prick, Klopp was saying the same in his press conference. He was specifically asked in one of the previous one's about how he felt on playing their first game Friday, he said something along the lines of he would prefer to play on Sunday and it's not ideal and they wrote that he was fuming with the fixtures. C***S the lot of them IMO.
