Community shield Post match thread

Ok, I'll explain to you, it's a shit idea.

I understood what the poster meant, I just didn't understand why he thought this would piss scousers off.
Scousers don't hate hearing the national anthem. They don't find the anthem offensive, and us singing it won't get under their skins. They're just anti-English and think scouse is a nationality. They might hear it and think we're pathetic, but they're not going to cover their ears while screwing up their faces or be insulted by it.
ok mate......whatever you say. I was just trying to explain what I thought he meant.

Thanks for the explanation though

Do not laugh at me please but who was the ex City player introduced to the city players before the match i think Mike Summerbee was behind him in the presentation .

We have won 7 out of the last 8 available trophies domestically. 5th in the all time list. What a time to be a BLUE!!!!!!!!
I make it 8 from 9. The only thing we haven't won is an one FA cup since we beat Arsenal 2 years ago

Do they need to be major decisions for him to show bias in his officiating? He was consistently letting Liverpool foul to win back possession. On the other hand, Liverpool players dived to the deck the second they lost the ball and got an automatic freekick. In a game featuring two teams that rely heavily on their pressing game, to give one side that kind of advantage is a handicap to the other team, especially when they were already tiring.

Just because the commentary/TV director didn't make an issue of it by giving you multiple replays to show that the ref got it wrong, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Did you not hear the sarcastic cheers when he finally gave City a freekick for one of the fouls on KDB?(which the commentary chose to ignore) This is BT Sport, who failed to show or talk about a major penalty incident during the game in the CL just because it was City on the wrong end of it.

Guess they didn't show us all booing the refs when they went for their medals of dishonour then? IMO Atkinson has set the tone for the officiating we'll get in the big games.

Wonder if VAR will pick up all these fouls by Firminho, that the officials seem to let go.
Every time he goes for the ball with another player, his first move is to play the player, not the ball.

Thousands of Liverpool or non-city fans in the lower tier city section. A few got kicked out well before the game for having Liverpool shirts clearly displayed. A lot didn't give a shit when City scored, or at the pens, and hundreds left at full time without watching the pens not having a clue what was going on.

City were well outnumbered outside the ground.

wouldn't surprise me if the club offloaded a load to a ticket agent for neutrals to buy who were perhaps on holiday in London. Some
People really are clueless though wearing tops. They are probably Liverpool fans who hardly ever go to a game but they are taking such a risk doing that.

Most sounded from the home counties

Two things perplexed me yesterday, that lot booing national anthem and us stopping playing after 55 minutes.

Yeah, that second half was weird and i don´t think it´s only down to us being more fatigued than Liverpool, we gave the momentum away too easily and never got it back again.

I couldn't believe it either, wearing a Liverpool shirt in the midst of pissed City fans is either stupid or arrogant, I go with the latter

They have played 7 games to our 4th,they are way ahead of us and the trips we have made have been very draining and somewhat ridiculous, pep didn't make enough subs,we were always going to tire before them,as often happens when dave went off we lost control as well
