Paulo Dybala

According to a Juve ITK:

At first we wanted to make a swap with United, Matuidi + Mandzukic + Dybala for Lukaku + €45m. Dybala wanted €15m/yr, United offered €13m/yr so we could certainly come to an agreement. But then United found out that they couldn't exploit his image rights so they offered him €9m/yr. He refused.
United still wanted a swap, they proposed Matuidi + Mandzukic + €60m for Lukaku but we refused and the deal was over.

Then Spurs came; they offered €70m + add-ons for Dybala, we accept, Dybala accepts their €13m/yr too but then they came to know about the image rights issue too. Knowing that Dybala wouldn't accept lower wages, they tried to get smart with us. They offered a €12m loan with option (not obligation) to buy at €55m. We obviously refused and the deal was over.

Now the only option would be PSG (they'd have no problem with his fee and wages and they have an interest) but he absolutely doesn't want to go there.
Bayern are hypothetically another and he'd be ok to go there, but no deal nor talks are in place.

Imo he'll stay with us in the end. We're really struggling to sell anyone.

Some of these players sign big money contracts then think they have hand. Some do, Dybala appears to have overplayed his.

That said, he’s on a nice earner, so just show up for training, put in a shift and watch the cheques keep being deposited!

I’m glad a few teams, City included, have kept this player power mentality in check, and are able to simply show players where the door is if they think they can do better.

As in life, being beholden to someone or something is a poor predicament. We have shown we will not allow ourselves to be there.

Accordingly, I don’t think we would touch 75% of the players in European football. We have standards that need to be met, including personal behavior, dressing room camaraderie, etc. NO EGOS ALLOWED!!

It's wonderful that we get players that actually WANT to play for us and be a part of this project. Very few players can come to us and say that they would be certain starters and feel that they are bigger than the club. SCUM have to offer these wages because they are such an unattractive club in every other sense, and it is wonderful. Long may it last.

It's rather convenient that once Dybala was off the table that United were willing to value him at over €100m..

I cannot see Dybala playing for us. Firstly, we have Bernardo and KDB. Secondly, we are going to strengthen 3 other positions: central defence (hopefully in January with Dias, Ake, Diakhaby or whoever), left winger if Sane will choose Bayern and attacking midfielder, coz it's last Silva's season - i can see Carlos Soler or Houssem Aouar in City's shirt in 2020.
