No idea what it is and assume the tweet is just trolling Remainers . As far as I'm aware part of the brexit progress is enacting the ironically titled repeal bill, which automatically enshrines all extant EU legislation in British Law. Most of its pretty decent stuff as far as I'm aware, but Im sure Boris and the ERG will want to dial down some of the workers rights in there.

Tbh I generally despair of any politicians using Twitter at all. I don't think the 120 character limit lends itself well to nuanced statements, but seems ideal for stirring up shit. Might be my age though.

Why 5 years?

I’ve seen even prominent Brexiteers saying much longer than that.

What’s being positive going to do? We’re about to fuck ourselves on all levels and become an insignificant poorer country than we were.

Your negativity saddens me. I'd have expected a bit more backbone amongst folk who once found joy only in pitch width and the height of floodlights.

Does the stockpiling of essentials and the billions being spent on emergencies to try and keep some of our industries going inspire positivity to you?

Stockpiling outside of war time means you’ve properly fucked up somewhere.

Didn’t you know that optimism and positivity is all we need. Don’t be a doomster or a gloomster. There’s plenty of time for that in a year or two when you’ve lost your job.
