Spurs (H) Post Match Thread

You make yourself sound like a Liverpool supporting victim unfortunately.
I wasn't telling you that you're wrong - just that a bigger window of review is required for me to draw any conclusions.

Yes, leg breaker tackles and all that which you remember. Remember when Scotty Parker tried to break Marios foot? Nasty git eh?
At least he got the opportunity to score a penalty to win the game after surviving that attack.

You had to go back how many years for that clip lol,how about 4 leg breakers two seasons ago by your team
Get fucked comparing me to the dipers, refs have given us very little since pep got here let alone before,i'm not interested in your opinion of how many games needed to see what is going to happen with us and var,2 games is plenty, reply to me if you are going to go through my first post and discuss each point or don't bother

And to which I will add that Balotelli was subsequently charged with violent conduct. Unlike Ali or Kane, so excuse us if we see differences in the way that we get reffed.

So he was,i'd forgoten that, golden boy harry and ali can do no wrong, they were never going to send them off
Fucking cheek of the guy whose team benefited from us being stitched up telling me anything about VAR

And don't forget the way the media reported Delph's assault on Kane last season, except it was actually Kane who went flying in and for once got his just reward

Kyle Walker of all people haha

The huge difference being that stamping on a human head can kill a man.

Look, we both had Ben Thatcher. Let's not pretend that either team are innocent.

Heard it mentioned at the weekend how Delph put Kane out of action for a month.....repeat the lie often enough it becomes the truth. My favourite is Liverpool were well on top before Mane got sent off....despite being 1 nil down, was still being repeated before we played them in January.

And there's the rub......

Swarbrick publicly states that Rodri had minimal contact and went down looking for a pen and the fans from other clubs lap it up and start repeating it as gospel, over time it becomes the accepted version of events. Leaving the cheating cnuts to think up their next wheeze.

I don't think they thought it was simulation, one said it was a coming together, Swarbrick came out today and said he was playing for it. All that has done is made them look even more ridiculous. I'm sure Rodri put his head into the defenders headlock willingly, sure lol.

Why do none of these twats get pulled up on this. They are trying to convince the public that we didn't see what we did.
It must be our amateur eyes ;-) God these fuckers wind me up more and more. It really does look like there is a soap opera
to be had in football and they are loving being the star turn. I say, fuck off and give us our football back.

Considering you're a guest on here, you're not doing yourself any favours, having a pop at some of our former players. Remember where you are. I wouldn't even contemplate going onto a Spurs forum and having a dig at, for instance, Roberts, or Archibald.

I'm a signed up member rather than a guest. I read the forum rules and believe I am adhering to them.
You know there's a reporting function on here though if you genuinely feel I am posting out of line.

It's all about context though. See what I responded to, and see my comment further down about Ben Thatcher playing for both our clubs - possibly the most disgusting footballer I have ever seen - and that neither club can claim to be innocent completely.

Sorry if I upset you though, that wasn't my intention.

what i dont agree with (and maybe i misuderstood your initial post) is what others are saying....that ref's are directly instructed to not give decisions to our players.......i disagree with the notion that there is a direct corruption/cheating aimed at us on match days.....

I think Peps reaction to Oliver after the game is telling. His own feelings are very clear and I suspect the club share this.

I also dont think it is unreasonable to believe that match officials are being directly instructed.

It has happened before.

I think City can expect to be top of the 'VAR reviews table' because you spend the whole game peppering the opponents 18 yard box creating chances.
Personally I don't think 2 games is enough examples to come to such a conclusion anyway. Take a look around January or the end of the season for a more sensible window of review.

Pukki has scored 4 goals in 2 games but I doubt he will end the season with 76 Premier League goals.

For more detail. See the entirety of last season.

That is completely irrelevant in the current climate.

The landscape has changed over the last 2 seasons in particular and that is the discussion.

But VAR was only used in the Champions League games?

I remember the Rose handball call. New stadium erupted properly for the first time when the penalty was taken.
Llorente got away with a handball that VAR didn't even look at from memory? I only attended the home game and had to watch the second leg on TV - the most stressful game I have ever watched.

Oh yeah, the offside that was offside. People say VAR will remove spontaneity from the game.. I had no idea Eriksen failed to make a clean assist for you, was deflated in defeat, then celebrated a scoreboard display more than any of the other 4 goals we put past an otherwise impenetrable defence.

I digress. But still don't think the Champions league games last season are sufficient evidence to suggest an organised agenda from Premier League officials against City.
