Anyone think PSG have declined massively?

Their midfield includes the like of Herrera and Gueye. Neymar will/wants to leave. Cavani is leaving on a free next summer. Thiago Silva is 35. Choupo-Moting is their back up striker.

I really think Spurs are probably better than them now and PSG are very close to Chelsea and Arsenal in level.

Other than Mbappe and Verratti maybe, they are not very good at all. Slightly surprised that Mbappe seems happy at PSG. They don't look like challenging for the CL anytime soon.

Neymar not being played and Cavani and Mbappe both injured for three weeks, good job they’re in a one team league

You say it’s a one team league, but there have been closer league title chases in France in the last two years than the Prem 2017-18 Centurions season from us.

Paris won’t be winning it, even if they do, with a 13 or 16 point gap this season. It’ll be a much tighter title run in France this year.

Cracking own goal in their game tonight:

And just after the 3-0 lead, the classic collapse out of nowhere. We managed to bring it home at the end but still. Kimpembe could/should have easily gotten a red card in the first half. Ref denied us a clear penalty on Sarabia on the second half and didn't give a red to a nasty kick from behind on Mbappé.

We have got quite some cracking OG for us this season.

Now that i have posted that, i noticed how it was always at 2-0 and around the 45 min mark.

Apparently, Nasser Al Khelaifi is on the verge of being cleared of all charges because the boss of the Swiss justice who was leading the case has been caught lying in the disciplinary investigation targeting him. He lied about not recalling having an undisclosed meeting with Infantino and is under sanction since today.

As a consequence, all charges against Nasser Al Khelaifi could be dropped.

PSG bought Icardi from Internazionale Milano for 50 M + 7/8 M bonus. The player and the club are tied until 2024.

Good news for PSG. They got a discount on the initial asking price and got an already proven replacemet for Cavani.

Now, with that much money spent, we have to see if they will be able to fix their clear weakness in the midfield and in the fullbacks positions. Lot of rumours about Telles and Marusic (a bit less about Tagliafico) for the fullbacks and names like Bakayoko (Chelsea), Tonali (out of the race, will go to Inter or Juve), Pjanic, Pellegrini (Roma), Milinkovic Savic (most ambitious name among them all but seems unreachable with FFP) have been quoted for the midfield.

@Parisian what was the outcome of your 4th March post. Did the lying sod ever get disciplined and did PSG get cleared ?
Why would PSG need to get cleared ?

Nasser is not investigated as the president of PSG or for his actions in favour of PSG but for his actions as BEIN president. As of now, PSG isn't under any investigation whatsoever. The last "investigation" was related to FFP and our Qatar contracts and it has been settled by CAS decision a year ago. Now, PSG is monitored like every other club participating in UEFA competition.

About Nasser Al Khelaifi, this is the last article i have seen about this story :https://www.lemonde.fr/sport/articl...e-valcke-prevu-en-septembre_6038042_3242.html

The announcement of the date for the opening of this trial comes as the Swiss prosecution is weakened by the case of three informal meetings, in March, April 2016 and June 2017, between the Attorney General Michael Lauber and the President of the FIFA, Gianni Infantino (civil party in the current proceedings).

According to our sources, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi’s lawyers have filed a challenge for Mr. Lauber, as well as prosecutors in charge of the investigation, Cédric Remund and Joël Pahud. On April 22, the TPF (Tibunal Pénal Fédéral) had rejected a challenge by Qatari defenders against two federal prosecutors and an assistant federal prosecutor.

"The unimaginable chaos provoked by the MPC (Ministère Public de la Confédération) and FIFA, and in which they are entangled, as well as the challenge procedures against federal prosecutors still underway, makes it uncertain whether even the hearings scheduled for September will be held," said Mr. Mangeat .

Mr. Al-Khelaïfi was also indicted in May 2019 for "active corruption" in France, as part of an investigation into the award of the 2017 World Athletics Championships.

I don't really care that much about Nasser, he is just the trusted man of the elites above him. They made him step back a bit from the light at PSG by bringing back Leonardo because he had too much dirt being exposed as BEIN president. Won't change a thing if he or another Qatari is president of PSG. They will have to refer to the one providing the money : the Emir of Qatar.

@Parisian my apologies perhaps poorly worded and poorly understood by me. The hearing was against Al Khelaifi not PSG when the snake was caught lying.

They're a filthy, morally bankrupt, arab oil money, sports washing, FFP dodging, no fans, empty seats Qatari shill.

And that's still not as bad as them being cheese eating surrender monkeys.
