That bomb incident was the biggest set up ever. They tried to get an advantage in the race for top 4 by postponing their game.
How nothing more was made of that "bomb scare" is strange. All went very quiet, very quickly.
Yep.
The one good thing about the incident is that the whole thing failed.City got the point they needed to qualify for Champions league..and utd were left to play their meaningless midweek match in front of a barely half full old trafford...the amount of empty seats at the sty that nighf was very very embarrassing..think the match was shown live as well(?) ..as utd entered the thursday night league cup.
But...it could have easily gone the other way...what a way to treat your fans....esp those travelling from London and overseas...no wonder the ground was less than half full at the re played match.

Until recently it was very difficult to find any reference online to why United are called the rags. The rag PR boys must have really twisted arms. On a lot of a media sites if you call them the rags in the comments section it gets replaced by **** when perhaps ****s is more appropriate.

There was a ludicrous definition by some Yank on the urban dictionary saying we started it because their 'grounds' were bombed in WWII and we resented this and called them rags to mock their misfortune. So it's a well kept secret but one I always explain on holidays to neutral fans.

One came on here a few years ago claiming it stood for red arrogant git.

He was soon put right.
