Surely everybody on here wants the UK to get a good deal? Sometimes I am not so sure reading some of the posts. Some appear to just want us to somehow turn back time and rewrite the history books with a remain vote. That isn't going happen.

The answer is no but then the last 3 years has seen lots of MP's and parties doing things barely ever seen before.

Pedantry will always meet sarcasm.

Drop yours and i might do the same.

Your opening line tonight was something about the right on here being giddy.

That's your own conformation bias for all to see.

Its a constant theme with remain voters and supporters, thinking they know it all.
It’s a constant theme with all voters, remain or leave.

I want to leave with a deal that allows us to trade with the European markets and the rest of the world.

A no deal should be the last choice.

I must be in a minority.

I am not over concerned whether there is a deal or not. No deal is fine by me if that is how it turns out.

What does concern me is Johnson's underhand approach to it all. I don't trust his motives and I don't trust him.

We have a good deal, I want to lose as little of it as possible. But every deal is worse than what we had.

I am not sure if it was exactly the same, but Cromwell it could be argued did similar with the rump parliament. He used a single parliamentary meeting and a council of state to rule almost like a Supreme Monarch. So in effect he bypassed the legislature like Johnson is trying to do. He announced himself Lord Protector then invaded Ireland and enforced military rule across the nation. When a leader has to much power it becomes dangerous.

As far as I am aware it was not used during either World War although it is normal to use it to end a parliamentary session. The timing of this one is very questionable and downright underhand to be more exact.
So that’s his dastardly plan.
It would solve the border issues I suppose.
So when can we expect the invasion.

I find it difficult to believe that you don’t trust that BJ, Mogg, IDS, Redwood and Farage won’t have the interests of the poor and disenfranchised who got them over the line, at the forefront of all their thinking, in a post Brexit, no-deal world.

Most didn't think like that. Somewhere between a no deal and the current deal is where I suspect we will end up. Would be good if we didnt waste another three years trying to get there.

Life for many in the valleys was better before we joined the EU. The idiocy is to blame the EU for losing the industries rather than the Tories (and not realise how much EU regen money they've had).

I really no longer give a fuck - I genuinely look forward to their lifestyle and life expectancy returning to 1970-72 levels - can't come soon enough for me so they learn some fucking home truths.

It's exactly where I once grew up (not that it should define anybody) that I have complete empathy for communities that were left behind long ago, and have certainly seen little benefit of being in Europe.

As for my own children, they will be just fine. They will contribute to society in their way and if they want to spread their wings one day, they still will.

Ladder pulling talk. Not good.

The communities you “once grew up” in were left behind not by the EU but by the policies of King Boris’s predecessors in the Tory party.

And they’ll be the first and worst hit by a downturn in the economy through public service cuts.

Your kids can potentially spread their wings from an isolated England who have just stuck two fingers up to every single one of our nearest neighbours. But they’ll have to flap a lot harder and there will be a lot fewer places to land. Because of what you did.

We will never know will we Vic.

You laud the way the EU has approached negotiations yet demand something that approach never allowed regardless of who was leading them on our behalf.
I fail to see why an agreement that we'd leave the EU and join EFTA would be an approach not allowed.
