Well if Louis said it, then it must be true.

Neale Richmond, the Brexit Chair of the Irish senate is just saying on C4 news it’s absolutely rubbish, there’s no movement from the EU and Johnson hasn’t even offered an alternative to the backstop yet.

Their position hasn’t changed and he’d be gobsmacked if Johnson can come up with an alternative before October 31st, when they couldn’t come up with one in 2 years.

As I said earlier today Katya Adler the BBC Correspondent said that the off the record briefings and whispers at the EU are that thanks to the preparatory work they have done instead of pissing about arguing with themselves for 3 years and having 27 other member states to still be trading with unhindered on the morning of the 1st November they are convinced that the UK will be damaged way more than the EU and they are willing to stand their ground and watch us crash and burn. There will be no budging furthermore having seen the stunts Johnson is prepared to do, the lies he is happy to renege upon only a couple of days later would you enter into any talks with him? The EU will be around long after Johnson and his ERG cronies are burned by all this.

You may be right, but do you realise you are just like a remain version of Farage with your tall tales of the 'sunny uplands' of post brexit EU. If you can bear to look at any objective analysis of the EU, it's a financial timebomb and the UK leaving (or remaining) does very little to change this.
