All 'isms' have innocuous beginnings. I personally have faith in the majority of people on our little island off the coast of France to reject their extremes. Just examples of how people are blinded by Brexit - people either hated the EU, hated Europe or just hated what they perceived the UK had become that they were prepared in the end to ignore all that stuff and be convinced by lies and that somehow the UK was better in 1970 than it is now ( I love how people refer to our wartime exploits simply ignoring that without lease-lend without food imports without help from commonwealth countries the Nazi's would have starved us out - they just choose believe we did it all on our lonesome. Can't wait until the average Taffy gets his first portion of UK weekly wartime rations ) - we are already way way off the beam we were say 10 years ago in terms of tolerance and as the govt divides and rules and gets those without to blame it on the unemployed, the disabled, benefits claimants, foreigners and the EU its just going to get worse and worse

The point is that we are able to vote for an alternative - that won't be the case in a federated EU future.

And why do you think this is? Having survived the promised emergency budget and economic collapse of 24 Jun 16 the boy crying Wolf is now ignored. Remain are taking a canary down the coal mine that they themselves declared dead 3 years ago. Much is said about the lies and exaggerations of vote leave, but it is those of the remain campaign that have lead us to this point in equal measure.

Whatever. As far as I can tell the pound has been in decline pretty much constantly while we've been failing to leave.

Not at all - its nowhere near what is was pre-crash but it rallied somewhat last year only for the more recent history trashing it - this graphs a bit out of date its down to @ $1.20 today
