Qatar 2022 official Emblem/logo

Ask your wife partner or daughter to go on the public beach wearing a bikini and then ask the police the same question.

To be fair it isn't illegal or banned to wear bikinis in Qater, in fact out of the middle easts countries Qatar is probabaly one of the least draconian when it comes to women.

On the beach thing it isn't just the middle east tbf who cover up on beaches, go to a non tourist local beach in thailand say and nearly all locals will swim in shorts and T-shirts not bikinis and swiming suits as culturally it is encouraged to be modest, I do believe also men going shirtless in many places or kissing in public is not common for the same reasons of modesty

Ah so you’re basing it on your own presumed prejudices of what you perceive Qatar to be like.

So causal racism it is. I’ll take some pictures for you from the bars this weekend should I? You’ll see as much flesh as you would on Deansgate.

This is from last week at The Backyard Bar (Sheraton)

As you can see, all the women are forced to be escorted by men and wear burqas.
I knew i was wrong about the bars a few mins later but was in work so couldn't edit the post so i concede on that one - mind you i hope the 2 girls on the right side had something to slip over the shoulders when leaving.....
Qatar is more relaxed as other countries about this issue for sure but women are still not equal. If you think that is racist or islamaphobic then report the post.

Spot on. It just seems because this thread is solely about Qatar i get labelled a racist and islamphobic....
Had i said "which is the same as in Thailand" then those labels would not have applied.

There were an estimated 1 million extra visitors to Brazil for the World cup.

I should imagine Qatar has plenty of hotel rooms for the amount of visitors going to the World cup, 100, 000 rooms I guess will be required.

My comment was serious and not intended to be funny
Women are not treated equally as men are and to say so is not islamaphobic nor racist
Of course you can go to a public beach in a bikini you intolerant moron. You’ve not go a clue what you’re talking about so rather than keep making things up (can’t go to bars in shorts, can’t wear a bikini at the beach) just stop posting about the treatment of women in Qatar.

Yes because you’ve made comments about ‘Qatar says women can fuck off’ then tried to back it up with lies and scenarios that aren’t remotely true of Qatar (but would be true if Qatar’s neighbour, Saudi Arabia.

That’s why I asked if you were being racist against Arabs or just generally islamophobic and thinking every country in the Middle East was the same. The reason I pulled you up on it rather than report it was so I could challenge your stereotypes and other posters who held the same misguided view could be informed.

You're also wrong on that one. And the one about women not being allowed to wear bikinis on public beaches. I think you might have Qatar confused with somewhere else.
