Olly Robbins taking very highly paid position with Goldman Sachs. I’m sure we all wish him the best.
Obviously not in a role that involves negotiating!!!

Probably being employed because he has a lot of good contacts in the EU that owe him a few favours

When the " Clampetts" as you put it decide they want a GE they will grant him one. That is how powerful a PM Johnson is ( remember when he got the job Leavers were all just a bit moist in anticipation? At last a man who would get things done..........**** can't even win a vote nor retain a majority it turns out ). I wouldn't dare suggest I am confident in any aspect of the outcome except one - Johnson will be destroyed as will his party. He won't get his GE until others grant it - he won't get the country out of the EU by the 31st October, he is legally required to ask for an extension if he can't get a deal, he is shown to be lying and there are no negotiations going on +++++++ there will be so many negatives with Farage and the Lib Dems waiting in the wings he is fucked - he may well lose his own seat. He is where he is at the moment because the " Clampetts" deem it convenient for him to be there.............just think about that.
You seem a tad angry. Not good for you blue.

Unless I’ve read it wrong labours position makes no sense at all

Renegotiate the withdrawal agreement, have a referendum and then campaign against their own deal and leaving. It doesn’t make any sense and I think it will actually damage them vote wise, particularly in the midlands, Wales and the north.

Johnson suggested it. Voting no would make the EU realise we were serious and we'd then negotiate a better deal so we could have a second referendum and vote to remain. I guess you didn't know that before you said it makes no sense. (That was before he saw his chance of being where he is now and went full Leave.)

I was advised that it was common courtesy to use an @ when referring to another poster

This the 3rd time I have seen my name used in this way in the last 24hours - so it must not be - @Saddleworth2 ;-)

BTW - I was only mentioning what was being widely reported and not denied
It’s only polite to let one know when you are taking the piss out of them ;-)

£500K donated to remain tells me they have every reason to be pleased with Olly and his deal that no one can agree to so we had better remain in the EU...
And of course it makes you wonder...……...

Just how long ago was it that he first had dealings with executives from GS?

What was the recruitments process that he went through?

Was it 4 or 5 interviews?

How did he fit that all in with is very busy schedule? or could it be a reward for services rendered?

I'm glad you find something to laugh at,this last week has been disgraceful, the world is laughing at us thanks to your man
My man? He's not my man Karen. The world may be laughing but not at us. If they are it is at Westminster.! You shouldnt take things so personally.

Not at all - enjoying pointing out your absolute desperation and stupidity - when do you think the opposition parties will grant the Brexit champion Johnson a GE and do you think he will wind a majority?
A few pointers for you. Im far from desparate, Johnson isn't my man , I haven't voted for him. I just personally prefer him to the shambles on the other benches, who would destroy UK plc imo. Better of two evils you could say. But that's my choice and you my friend will have to accept that others have a different opinion of things than you! So it is indeed best that you calm down somewhat, stop throwing the silly insults and have a good evening.

I keep seeing the word Democracy appear in this thread.

I wonder how many of you voted for Donald Tusk for the EU Presidency.

Oh sorry, we aren't allowed to vote on that are we!

How Democratic.

That is different apparently.

Go figure!

I mean come on mate, over 17 Million voting to leave is ignored by some so Tusk being put in charge on a nod and a wink isn't going to even register with some.

I also wonder how many voted for Boris Johnson as British Prime Minister? Them’s the rules, unfortunately.

As is the case in UK politics, which by the way still has a House of Lords and a Monarch nonetheless, you vote for representatives who in turn vote for their leader(s). It’s not an unusual set up in western civilisation.
