Roughest / Most unwelcoming cities in the UK

Yeah, it's a decent place to be honest, I find. Certainly been to far worse places.

Staines, now that's a place I don't like. I don't think the chav shitbags liked my Mancunian accent.

Watched the 99 play-off final in a bar in Staines. Every fucker was cheering on Gillingham and I was the lone City fan.

I never worked out Staines it was a regular stop over and I never had/saw any bother but the locals used to delight in telling me it was a bit rough. I was like you have houses with gardens on the river with boats moored, fuck off you soft twats.

I visit many towns and citys across the uk and i gotta say the walk down piccadilly approach, past the ‘gardens’ and onto market street is as bad as it gets.
Its a disgrace and for a supposed international city, the first impression visitors get of manchester is of a complete dump
That walk is like walking down some Eastern Block city in the 1980s seeing most of the population on pure meths.

Right across Glasgow, my family.... castlemilk, East Kilbride, Rutherglen, to name a few.... I’d send a thousand of the boys from across Glasgow to go into London and sort
the petty squabbling out (: would be back in line in no time!

I really like Rutherglen I even gave a local my city season card from the aguero season. Was proper gutted when I sobered up next day.

As a wagon driver I often end up sleeping in my cab in random towns and citys across the country and often I go to look for a pub where I can have a pint, bite to eat and watch the football.

Most that I'd consider rough/weird shit holes have already been brought up on the thread. Scunthorpe, Birkenhead, Stoke and Wolverhampton are all unfriendly and weird places from my experience. Wolverhampton is probably a bit more city pride than weirdness to be fair but even so from my experience I'm in no rush to socialise there again.

The worst two areas I've ever had to park my wagon and get my head down are erith/Dartford and thamesmead. Both absolute dumps and with the latter I decided to abort the search for a friendly pub within a 3 or 4 minute walk from my wagon, it was rough. Wigan and Warrington are both shit holes too.

I had to visit Stalybridge on Monday and it was the most depressing experience in a town centre I believe I have ever had, lost count of the vaping shops and charity shops and it was almost empty.
I know it isn't a city just thought I would chip in.
