Top 5 films you’d watch

Not necessarily my top 5 (I suggested some already) but oldies I'd forgotten:

Raiders of the lost ark - what a beltingly good laugh that was, the first time I saw it back in 1982/83 was it?
Ghost Busters - Ditto
Beverley Hills Cop - Ditto
Lethal weapon - Ditto
The sting - ditto

Raiders was 1981 and one of the best movie going experiences of my life: I saw it in Grauman's Chinese Theatre on a huge screen with the most impressive cinema sound system I'd ever heard.

Kind of agree that lost on a desert island I'd want escapism, comedy and nostalgia, so as much as I love Fargo (which I guess is comedic in parts) and Goodfellas and The Usual Suspects, I'd opt for lighter fare:

1. This is Spinal Tap
2. Anchorman
3. 24 Hour Party People
4. Amelie
5. Blazing Saddles

Or find a place for Clueless or Holy Grail.

Now Clueless is a movie that never fails to make me smile.
