Gundogan as an attacking midfielder

I used to refer to him as an Arsenal player.

That's too much of a compliment now.
Just keep him on the bench until we have injuries or need to rest someone. There is no reason to play him otherwise as all Bernardo, KDB, Silva, Foden are superior to him. There is no reason to keep him happy either, as if he wants out, its not exactly disaster for us.
Dont think there is enough room on the bench for him and the other subs, would have to put him in the middle to balance the bench out

Gundogan is a gifted player but I’d never start him in my ideal first XI. It was strange not to start KDB today.

Didn’t even realise he had signed a new deal haha. Still get rid. He’s useless
So the player rated as Europe’s top player by Opta Stats from February onwards last season, City’s best player in the second half of the season and the player with the best individual City performance last season (Spurs at home in the CL) is useless?

By no means do I think he’s a top attacking mid. In fact I’d never play him there at all. He’s a defensive mid all day for me.

But have a read of this:

He ABSOLUTELY deserved a new deal and when played in defensive midfield where he’s “the most creative #6 in Europe”, that’s where he’s at his best.

When the going gets tough Gundo is invisible, but not many came out of today with any plaudits

Thread title is an oxymoron, he's a defensive midfield, and he should be 3rd in line for that position
