Norwich (a) post-match thread

What a fantastic end to my Weeks Holiday in Majorca.

Dreaded final Holiday day.
Flight was delayed for over 2 hours. Replacement plane sent.
Avoided the score on purpose. Got back to Manchester Airport, turned my mobile on, straight to the post Norwich match thread, and...... :-(
And to complete a miserable trip home, the black cab from the airport to Burnage was £27!

Living in Burnage is unthinkably bad. I feel your pain blue.

Awful result but we move on and hopefully learn from yesterday and quick.. And that so called city fan on radio 5 saying sack pep and get klop if you really are a blue you should be ashamed of yourself idiot..

Judging by some opinions on here wouldn't be surprised if he were a City fan. Many posters on here know better than Pep.

A lot of people have already forgotten the last two seasons and the manager and the players are slated left, right and center. Incredible.

We suffered horrific injuries to top talents including our defensive rock. We won 5 trophies in a row in England. We won 64 games from 76 and 198 pts over two seasons. And some can't wait to moan and criticise. How can people be so unhappy now when we have an exceptional manager and an exceptional team?

It’s a forum where fans share their opinions.

This is the Norwich post-match thread, a game in which we were poor.

It’s nothing to do with forgetting our achievements. It’s simply commenting on the game.

And football fans love to moan. Always have and always will.

A worrying trend from the past two games is how easy Brighton and Norwich have beaten our press.

Teams seem to be goading us into closing them down by playing deeper and then passing through us.

It could possibly be down to the lack of pace/energy in the side yesterday but it is sOne thing Pep needs to sort out.

Agree about how we were sucked too far forward, left a gap in the centre that norwich exploited by a simple punt upfield, and the lack of a commanding figure in our back line compounded the problem. Imo our front line is at it's best when receiving the ball played in front of them, by being too far forward that is not an option, beating a player from a standing start is v. dif. against packed defences. Raz and Bernie didn't become useless over-night, David and Kun were never allowed an inch, (apart from a couple of solid chances) the midfield really struggled to find a forward pass option, inevitably settling for the "start again option" which suited norwich's staying deep plan.
In short, this combination of players, against that opponent, did not work.
Not the end of the world, even the greatest have off-days, MichaelAngelo made a right mess of his mam's kitchen ceiling, that Da Vinci geezer only painted one Mona Lisa, and Van Gogh's helicopter never even flew. Just goes to show, it's tough at t'top....even tougher stayin' there.

The tesitimonial did not help the prepartion.

Mistakes all round with Stones making the most.

Eh?? The vast majority of our team were still on international duty, and Pep literally turned up for the night and will have been prepping with his team on campus anyway. Footballers and managers do constant charity work in their spare time, so it's not exactly unusual to do so.

No point getting eaten up about this result, last season we lost to Lyon at this stage of the season with a terrible performance then went on a long unbeaten run. It's a long season.

It was de vinci's helicopter not van gogh's. Stop getting your artists wrong ;)

Better to get this performance and result out of our system early in the season. Hopefully we will react positively. The Dippers are flying at the moment but their results are probably better than their performances. They’ll get beat at some point, they’ll get injuries etc... I’d still back us and Pep over the Dippers and Klopp over a season. They are getting giddy 5 games in - there’s a very long way to go. Come on City.
