This is low, very low....

Johnson also insisted he wouldn’t delay the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union on 31 October, should no deal be struck by then, while also promising to abide by the law requiring him to request a delay in those same circumstances.

He failed to explain how he intended to align these apparently contradictory positions. Here’s a portion of that exchange:

Kuenssberg asked Johnson how he intended to “get round” that law, noting that he has said he will not delay
Brexit. He replied:

I won’t. Here’s, here’s what I want. I will uphold the constitution I will obey the law but we will come out on October 31st.

Kuenssberg again asked the prime minister: But how, if MPs have changed the law to stop you doing that?” He responded:

We’re going to come out on October 31st and it’s vital that people understand that the UK will not extend. We won’t go on remaining in the EU beyond October. What on earth is the point? Do you know how much it costs?

Once again, Kuenssberg asked Johnson: “But how will you do that if MPs have changed the law to stop you? Are you looking for a way round the law. Because that’s what it sounds like?” The prime minister again replied:

We will obey the law but we will come out and we will come out, I should say, on October 31st.

Kuenssberg tried yet again, asking: “But that means you are looking for a way round the law. I mean to be really clear about this, Parliament has changed the law to make it almost impossible to take us out of the EU without a deal at the end of October. But you say that you will not do it. That means that you must be looking for a way around the law?” Johnson replied:

Well you know those are your words. What we’re going to do is come out on October 31st deal or no deal.
He is going to have to break the law, hope his sorry arse ends up in prison

A question for the legal types. Will primacy of EU law possibly be the route that BoJo takes to ‘legally’ leave the EU, with no-deal, on October 31st? I ask because I think the legal default, in the EU at least, is we leave on the 31st and that that law would trump the Benn Bill. Obviously, as with many things, I could be completely wrong.....
Interesting thinking - be interested in the responses you get

I think he has mastered the art of lying to such an extent that he can even lie to himself.

But when a British Prime Minister resorts to....

"Well you know those are your words. What we’re going to do is come out on October 31st deal or no deal."

This is Trump speak.

These are not Kuenssberg's words, they are facts.

Are we dealing with alternate facts now?

He’ll now be boring the locals at the pub about it.
You two really ought to get a room

And - pleeeaaassse - on this occasion I emphasise that the normal rules do not apply.

In fact I am confident that I speak for all members when I say that photos are definitely not required ;-)

In fairness they were her words as it was her that said it. If he has nothing he can’t answer if he has something(haha) he can’t answer. It was a dumb question from her and he was never going to answer. Not long to wait people need to chill.

Seems like the Luxembourg Momentum branch tried to drive BoJo into an open air ambush with an EU attack poodle - but Hulk escaped lol
Some of the posts on here are so desperate in their neeeed to slag Johnson off

I have not heard the clips - but FFS - what a set up it obviously was
Proper desperate stuff and shows - IMO - how so many are content to rubbish the UK

He said exactly the same "deal or no deal" line to the Sun in an interview today in Luxemburg.

at around 1:30

Whatever is in Johnson’s head(scary thought) It’s on a need to know basis and we don’t need to know, let it run its course. To many in the U.K. are needy little fuckers.

There's no "in fairness"

If I were to state to you that the sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening, that is a fact.

If your reply was "they are my words", you are casting doubt on the veracity of that statement, by reducing it from being a matter of fact, to a matter of opinion.

And too many are needy little trolls, who get off by appearing as dumb as doorknobs, when they're actually snidey little fuckers.

Why would Lefties love a country that is addicted to capitalism?
Well......

Setting aside the obvious exceptions like yourself.....

There are a lot of 'faux' lefties on here that actually have no idea why they should be supporting leave to see labour government being able to implement proper Socialist policies.

Many of them - strictly IMO only - are just sulking snowflakes taking part in a dialogue that makes them feel good about themselves - even if they do not understand the words being spoken
