Following on from the other thread where we got lucky, which matches do we remember where we had zero luck?

2 immediately spring to mind which happened close to one another. The Bolton game at the Etihad where we should have had 5 but lost 1-0 to a last minute pen. Also the 1-0 home defeat vs Middlesbrough when Sun Jihai scored an O.G. Boro didn’t have a shot on target that day but still won 1-0.

So many !!
Cant remember the game but wasnt they one game were we battered the opposition, than on the counter attack the miss hit shot hit Dunny and went in with almost the last kick of the game with us losing 0-1 Dunne og

City 2 - 3 Fulham.

Cruising at 2-0 and then something happened and we couldn't string 2 passes together.

The 1937-38 season

Champions in 1936-37, we were the 37-38 league’s top scorers with 80 goals, won more games than the four teams above us, yet conceded 77 goals, lost 20 games and got relegated.

The only time the Champions have ever been relegated.

Typical City. Most of our bad luck stories are really our uncanny ability to shoot ourselves in the foot, happily mostly banished now.
