OK. Please detail the loan plan of yours.

Who to, how long for and what happens after the loan period, does he come straight into the first team etc. Perhaps, that might add some weight to those crying out for him to go out on loan

Remember Joe Hart? Couldn't get in front of Given. Went on loan to Birmingham, had an absolute blinder of a season, developed as a player and showed Mancini what he could do. Next season he was first choice and was so until we bought Bravo. I really don't get people who scoff at a loan. Yes obviously Foden would be playing with less quality players than at City but maybe that is just what he needs. A chance to play every week and shine. Get better, learn how to handle winning and losing match situations and show Pep over the course of several months what he could bring to the team. I simply refuse to believe he would benefit more doing el rondo drills in training and getting the odd minute here or there.

A top 5-6 League under a manager who will play him and plays possession based football. Give him a year and bring him back next season once Merl is gone, where he'll compete with KDB and Bernardo for a spot

Seriously not hard. You can only learn so much from training - he needs to experience match situations regularly

So, what you are effectively saying is he will go out for a year before coming back to the bench. If his development were that simple as you are inferring, why have we as a club not gone down that route?

He'll come back and be in the rotation, as opposed getting almost no game time at all. All the guys see the bench throughout the season now

As a loan is unlikely, a moot point.
Personally, I believe he will develop more from staying and continuing to learn this season than going out on loan

Ive asked others before, and never got an answer, why do you think Pep and Txiki disagree? When they are more than happy to let others go off on loan.

No I don't, no one is guaranteed time. What we need to do is foster an environment where mega talented youngsters like him, like say Phil Foden, will reasonably expect to be given a shot if they stay and work for it, even when it isn't guaranteed, which we haven't done and which is why people come into this thread and worry about Foden's playing time only a month into the season. Focusing on the specifics of why Sancho left is a mistake because he didn't leave for one reason, he left because our track record in this area is shit and it doesn't seem like we're doing anything to fix it.

Absolutely this.

But a couple of the youngsters did at least get serious minutes today. Let’s hope there will be more to come.
