To me there is a distinct definition of racism, and this just doesn’t qualify as one. Outrage culture in the USA has pretty much rendered the word “racist” meaningless due to the complete and utter overuse of it. At the end of the day, Bernardo shouldn’t have posted it for the world to see, but to call for a ban or calling him racist is completely absurd.You see that. Irrespective of your race, religious persuasions, sexuality etc...that statement right there is a bigger ill on society than anything Bernardo Silva did. It’s bullshit, and pisses me off, but so effing what. Deal with it, just like I’ll have to deal with people like you who feel being offended is somehow a right.

Yes, but since we're in the work place, I don't really have to put up with listening to racially abusive language, so if it happened again, I'd probably report it. I really don't think I'm saying anything remotely controversial here.
If we were at bar somewhere, I wouldn't even bother confronting that person. I'd walk away.

Being offended is just a human reaction. If you're asking me be okay with people using racially abusive or insensitive language in my presence, just because you want to be able to racially abuse people in peace then I'm sorry disappoint you.

As I said in an earlier post, it's not impossible to separate an action from the club. I've lambasted John Terry for years and he has lessened his status in my eyes. I argue with Chelsea fans regularly about this sort of stuff, not too dissimilar to the conversations I'm having in this thread.
