Just noticed Passport to Pimlico is on. I see where the idea of Brexit came from now. Leavers are going to be well pissed off to find that underneath the UK there isn't a massive cave filled with Burgundian treasure.

Farage at it now - complaining Soubry is on TV all the time !!?? FFS not as much as him - furthermore she is something he has tried a number of times to be - a UK elected MP.

He is also quite fond of talking about MP's as "them" when it suits him but also portraying himself as a politician when it suits him.
To be fair to him, he's probably a bit bitter as he's tried to be one of "them" 7 times, but the great british people who he's so proud of have said 'no thanks dickhead' 7 times.

Why is it you go for the ad hominem attacks George?
I don't care if you're a leaver or remainer. Nobody should be getting bricks put through their windows, the rising tensions in this country are worrying me and I feel we're on a angerous course of anger and hatred that needs to be nipped in the bud
I don't and you are making my exact point and at the same time spreading the tactical twitter hype.

It’s absolutely disgusting what he’s just done to Soubrey. The others too, but a lady who’s already been bullied by yobs.

He could have blood on his hands, the ****. There’s going to be another assassination, isn’t there?

Absolutely. Anyone threatening violence needs a good kicking.

George I've literally posted a tweet that someone has had a brick put through their window for their views on brexit to illustrate that we are in danger of things escalating.

Nobody's going to come out well of people turning to violence whether you're a remainer or leaver, violence isn't a partisan issue mate

no excuse for the violence at all. Doesn't mean we are unable to discuss the issue though!

I thought some labour politicians were very aggressive in parliament yesterday, jabbing fingers

Exactly so and hopefully every sane poster on here agrees with you and will show restraint.

‘The Greater London Authority has referred Prime Minister Boris Johnson to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for a possible investigation into whether he committed misconduct in a public office in connection to his friendship with American businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri’

As a bit of an aside, I find it interesting how the layman regards rich city trader types as being money-making, money-grabbing machines. And in particular, they seem to be viewed as if making money is some easy thing that is done without risk.

Of course this is far from the truth. You don't get to make a million by betting a pound! So if a trader wants to bet that the FTSE will drop from say 7500 to 6500 and wants to make £1m, he has to go short to the tune a £1,000 a point. And if indeed it drops to 6500, he makes his £1m. But if it rallies to 8,500, he's lost a cool million. God forbid it goes 9,500!

This is a game for guys with big bollocks. I know I've tried it and my pea sized bollocks could not cut it.

as I said when they were all getting a semi on over the prospect of Johnson becoming PM - careful what you wish for - he has considerable baggage

If, and that's a monumentally improbable conjunction, there is a change to the WA to enable a deal, we won't get to hear about it until the early hours of 18/10/19

The suggestion is they are trying to avoid anything going public until after the Tory Conf so the conjecture from that is its the thrice defeated WA coming back for a 4th go - probably renaming of the backstop as the stopgap - and then trying to persuade the ERG its a new turd not the old one polished up...............good luck with that.
