It's not just the GFA, Johnson's deal leaves a potentially permanent backdoor into the EU, there's no way they could say yes to that. All this talk of getting parliament onside is just smoke and mirrors as they know the EU has to say no to it. Leavers need to remember, Johnson wrote two letters prior to the referendum and wasn't sure which route he was going to take. He is not a leaver, he is a only interested in remaining (pardon the pun) in power and will whip up the leave crowd with his bullshit to achieve that. Because so much of their trade is with the UK, No Deal will hurt them arguably more than any other country in the EU. I can’t say I’m up to speed with exactly what’s been said today but I’m guessing any reservations about these fresh proposals are to do with compromising the GFA.
