Hmmmmmmm

Thought you would understand this......

He goes into a GE with the position clearly being one of Remain of Leave

He wins it and the EU - given it will be the first time they have ever faced the prospect of a no-deal outcome and the political will to use it - will agree to the proposition - although dress it up so it sounds different.

Seriously - they really will and any comments to the contrary will just demonstrate ignorance.....

Why cannot posters on here understand the simple basics?

The power of a No-deal option has been demonstrated in recent weeks on this thread - many times over

I thought you were arguing a while back, that the threat of 'no deal' had been destroyed by us 'remainers' & crying that we had undemocratically ruined everything for you & therefore you had the 'right' to be angry about it, as we wouldn't be leaving ?

Were you talking shit ?

They weren't even arsed finding out or worrying about it.

Then those lying cunts saw an opportunity to promise them all kinds of good shit if they voted to leave it.

If & when we do leave, it will be interesting to see how patient they all are, waiting for all the good shit, they were promised, to arrive.
Y'all need to chill, dude.

It has aims to become federal, and I don't want to see a federalised Europe.

Good enough for you?

It may have aims to become federal... but if it trys to we have a veto until that point we could stay in and then if they want to go in a different direction we step away with their blessing and a really good deal

Its called 'STRATEGY' ... and a plan ... and negotiation .... not the dash into the abyss that we are currently headed for

In which we (the UK) are effectively "not members of the EU", are we.

Time to leave it and join a different European Group, one that has ties to each other, but not controlled by one another. It's where we're headed as a nation and as a continent. The sooner you accept it, the sooner we can all move forward. The EU and UK's destinies are no longer connected.

It seems Ireland want no deal. I find their prime minister to actually be stirring up hatred and basically making it impossible for any deal

Some of the things they’ve said about a ‘united ireland’ and apparently what the uk people want. The eu and Ireland need to show some compromise.

Lots of labour mps, the dup, conservative outcasts look like they will vote for the deal

Even as someone who voted Leave, I can’t see how Ireland would want that to happen. Because so much of their trade is with the UK, No Deal will hurt them arguably more than any other country in the EU. I can’t say I’m up to speed with exactly what’s been said today but I’m guessing any reservations about these fresh proposals are to do with compromising the GFA.

It's not just the GFA, Johnson's deal leaves a potentially permanent backdoor into the EU, there's no way they could say yes to that. All this talk of getting parliament onside is just smoke and mirrors as they know the EU has to say no to it. Leavers need to remember, Johnson wrote two letters prior to the referendum and wasn't sure which route he was going to take. He is not a leaver, he is a only interested in remaining (pardon the pun) in power and will whip up the leave crowd with his bullshit to achieve that. Please see through it.
