Gundogan has nothing to prove to Pep sadly. He can play how he wants and still keep his place.

The one thing I'll say is Ilkay seems to be the sort of player who needs lots of consecutive games to hit his level. Same for Nico. Both look poor when plugging in and out.

Fuming over the Cancelo at LB thing. Sends a bad message to Zink and Angelino. Pep clearly wanted Cancelo to play back to back games but when Walker was dropped by England didn't want to add to that. All good, except Angelino and Zinchenko have done nothing wrong to not be picked for a home game where they'd expect to do well.

Foden may as well play in the u23s. He can train with Pep and get game time, which is the main arguments on both sides.

Simon Stone at it again

No Kevin de Bruyne, John Stones or Aymeric Laporte for Manchester City today.

Pep Guardiola is having to juggle his squad a little bit, which means a full Premier League debut for former Juventus defender Joao Cancelo.

He cost £60m. Worth bearing that in mind the next time Pep is complaining about bad luck.
Someone should tell the cünt he cost £28m
