Gundogan has nothing to prove to Pep sadly. He can play how he wants and still keep his place.
The one thing I'll say is Ilkay seems to be the sort of player who needs lots of consecutive games to hit his level. Same for Nico. Both look poor when plugging in and out.
Fuming over the Cancelo at LB thing. Sends a bad message to Zink and Angelino. Pep clearly wanted Cancelo to play back to back games but when Walker was dropped by England didn't want to add to that. All good, except Angelino and Zinchenko have done nothing wrong to not be picked for a home game where they'd expect to do well.
