Gundogan as an attacking midfielder

Performances like today was exactly why I was on the fence about him being given a new contract because, as good as he was as at cdm towards the end of last season, Pep just cannot resist playing him out of position. How Mahrez and David Silva got subbed before him today, I'll never know.

I've updated the stats in the OP to show just how poor we become when he's played as an attacking midfielder.

big fat nope from me. Would rather see bernardo or foden there.

Purely looking at the team sheet, you'd assume that the logic of him and Rodri starting together is to help cover a makeshift defence. Then the game starts, and you realise that the defence basically spent the entire game exposed (not that they didn't bring a lot of it on themselves).
